Great news at last. It did take ten days to get to this point though since I first flagged it up.
Knew it would be the affiliate network at fault;)
Not taking anything for granted and everyone involved make your £500 funding and transactions in February and March etc.0 -
Hooray. They are rolling back the declines as they were made in error "by the affiliate network". https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=76775733&postcount=3738
Keep an eye on things to make sure that this actually happens. As of now, mine still shows declined, and I still have the claim showing, too.
Oh this is looking good. :T:rotfl:
1 declined & 2 claims. 1 from 30-11 & 1 27-01 :rotfl:Life in the slow lane0 -

I very much doubt you'll get anywhere in branch - this is an online offer via Quidco - and the error, so far, is probably Quidco's. Retailers rarely help, or even know about, cashback offers through Quidco and the like. Those who've phoned have not actually had any help yet - it's Quidco any complaints need to go to./QUOTE]
On the contrary, the visit wasn't a futile exercise, as earlier contributors have logged a complaint with TSB cs, well I visited my local branch on Monday. They got back to me today, Thursday. The bank manager, who I spoke with said as the the offer was still active though Quidco, I was entitled to a goodwill gesture as the advertising was a misleading offer and that the financial incentive was only through switching not opening an account. I kind of suspected I would get a party line response, it stands to reason. How I have a reference number to use, and £50 in my account for the hassle. So wasn't a complete waste of time. 😁0 -
Well done for getting the £50 from TSB. They did, however, gove you complete nonsense info - the Quidco offer does NOT require any switch. The T&Cs are very clear, There is no mention of any switch.
But hey, if TSB want to be dragged to the FOS and to the ASA, and if Quidco want to be dragged along with them, they just need to continue to play their nasty game with this offer.0 -
Stands to reason that tsb would only compensate a customer for not complying with conditions that don’t apply.
Otherwise people might be able to make some sense out of what they are up to:(0 -

Well done.
Keep us updated to see£50 via quidco.
Not sure how I go about getting to my branch as its closing in Feb and due to it's location its next to impossible to park there.
So quite why assign a branch that is closing is plain stupid. Most banks seem to not give you a branch now when applying online.Life in the slow lane0 -

Yes, but no, but.... they just told you lies, and given you compo for no reason.
The ad was not misleading, switching is not required, they're talking complete b******ks. So my point still stands, branch can't help with this, all that's happened is you've worried them so much they just bunged you compo for a completely invalid reason.
Your complaint is with Quidco and their agents. Not with TSB.
Edited to add: You could, at this pint, raise a formal complaint, in writing, to TSB complaining that branch had just told you complete !!!!!!!! and misled you into accepting £50 compo on completely incorrect grounds. £50 that you should/will, be receiving anyway from Quidco. So, if Quidco fail, it's not compo, it's just what you'd get anyway. But, basically, branch just told you a humongous pack of mega lies - and that (not the quidco thing) is a real reason to complain to TSB.0 -

Would be interesting to know who the affiliate network is.We can't share the details of any third party network's we work with, as they aren't customer facing and only deal with ourselves as part of the business relationshipLife in the slow lane0 -
