Colsten.
It also makes me wonder, when you get a declined transaction and dispute it. Who does it go to. The retailer or the affiliate network to check?
I am seeing more declines and lack of tracked purchases now.Life in the slow lane0 -
They won't tell us. Not least because they need someone to hide behind. I still don't believe that Quidco are not responsible - it is them who allow transactions to occur that violate the T&Cs Quidco have published. At a minimum, this is gross negligence on Quidco's part.
Indeed. Pointing the figure at the affiliate network is unhelpful. Our complaint is squarely with Quidco.
Quidco can blame their affiliate but that's just them explaining how the problem arose - it's still Quidco's problem. Telling us some outfit they employ messed up isn't helping - they need to get that outfit to un-mess up!
Going to TSB is pointless (though some seem to be getting compo - though that just shows up TSB to be gullible idiots!) and trying to work out who the affiliate network are is also pointless.
Our 'contract' (for want of a better word) is with Quidco. And it's up to Quidco to sort it out. I'm for the simple life - keep on at Quidco until this is sorted. It is their problem.0 -

But as all Cashback sites stateIs cashback guaranteed?
Due to the amount of parties involved, we can never guarantee cashback. However, as long as you follow the terms and conditions for the cashback offer you should have no problems.
Remember, cashback is a referral fee that is due to Quidco, once we receive it, we'll pass it along to you as cashback. If we don’t receive that fee, we’re unable to pass that on to you. Rest assured though, our specialist team will work tirelessly to get the cashback for you.Life in the slow lane0 -

Why is that a 'but'? The quote you give basically says what I did - if you meet the t&C then you should get cashback - and any argument is with Quidco, and it's Quidco's role to sort it out0 -

Not all 1 way though, most cashback sites have a misuse/fair play policy, those who have opened several TSB Current accounts of the same type via Quidco purely for cashback merely meeting minimum published T+C could count themselves lucky not to have Quidco account closed.

That seems a catch-all get-out clause for avoiding to pay any cashback.
Who decides what deceptively exploiting a retailer's offering is? What does it even mean?
Who decides what unfairly exploiting a retailer's offering is?
Let's just remind ourselves: the case in hand is about Quidco breaching the T&Cs they have published on their site, whilst all of us have fulfilled those same T&Cs to the letter.0 -
I just noticed you have to pay £500 in per month to get the cashback. Was that always a thing?I don't recall seeing it before0

Yes, the issue, so far, here is simply Quidco's systems/afflilate network making an error and incorrectly declining cashback a whole month before the terms say they'll even look at it.
The question of whether some people (not me btw!) have overly exploited the deal by opening multiple new accounts isn't even a question yet.
That question won't (can't, if they follow t&c) arise until the 90 days are up.
The issue now is simply getting them to adhere to the terms.
Not about whether they'll turn some people down later for multiple usage. That can be worried about later!0
