  • Dolly - our bb is with BT. An engineer turned up at my house this afternoon while I was out. After an extended phone call yesterday where I was repeatedly told that I didn't need to be in the house. Anyway - apparently there is no fault. Anywhere. So I have no idea what is actually going on, plus I wasn't home when the engineer came. I have a phone call update between 11 and 1 tomorrow to see if I'm 'satisfied' with the service. I still have no solution to the problem, and have been more than a little bit mucked about by them so I will make sure they know it.
I survived until payday and have had a spendy day today (all planned though) getting flea treatment for the cats, taking me and dd for lashes and brows and a raid at £land in preparation for December.
Thanks for running October mothernerd - it's been fantastic.

Thank you to everyone who has taken part in the October challenge. I am still below par so I have had a quiet pottering day. Machines are working and more rubbish taken to the bins and clothes part dried draped over the garden chairs.

Today I am grateful for getting things done (slowly), for the library and all the staff and for being given yummy curry and rice by Beloved.

Ok just for the record I had approx 10 NSD days in October, not bad but not great. Today was payday and I am worried that I am back in my old ways of over committing my finances.
I can't make a budget for November as I am already missing about £300. That said I might have up to 8 days of cover work which is about £600 so that might more than cover the gap. But I really need to save the cover money for the month after so I know what i have coming into the month - in stead of living hand to mouth.

Turtle 23 checking in on the last day of october! Its not been a terrible month moneywise. My overtime was eventually paid out and I've already started the christmouse shopping. Need to be very careful not to go with the festive flow and overspend too soon.. theres way to go yet before payday.

Spent on vitamin c in the penny sale yesterday and am super dosing up to avoid a cold! Puss and I are in the pit ready for a good night's sleep- he is tucked up in his igloo snoozing away at the right side of the bed :D

Thankyou for an inspirational month mothernerd with your fabulous turtle power quotes :D see you all next month

    Hi all:j

Wrote a post last night but lost it as I was posting it, gave up & went to bed! However did have an NSD yesterday, so 16/15 altogether for the month which is good for me! Did have an NSD today till just now when DD sent me a link for something she wants for Cmas/bday so bought that whilst it was on offer..

Electrician friend came yesterday & put our light fitting back up in the dining room after the flood...ceiling not too bad considering but will have to be repainted.

More clearing & painting of the top cupboards, all done now & ready to be filled with more useful stuff..at least it should clear the kitchen worksurfaces which are crammed.

Supposed to be the last fine day here for a while so after the inside painting went out & spray painted the outside letter box.

All food from stores, DD doing a Halloween girls night at hers so collected a bunch of flowers from the garden & gifted her some ghostly bunting.

Gratitudes: Late roses 'generous gardener', generous friends, happy animals.

Many thanks for running October mothernerd, great job! See you all over on the Yesember thread!!

Thank you for running October mothernerd, I was rubbish, not sure I even made double figures on NSDs but I am determined to do better in Yes-vember.
Ending the month with 98p in the bank was shocking!
