Theres something to be said for lock down, Ive just found some insulating lining fabric thats been lost since I bought it in 2009!!!! That means I can now make the table mats I had planned without spending any money. Just getting organised for some more sales but been busy with other stuff for a few days. We used Hubbies PPI to buy ourselves a better car. Ours was a 15 year old Kia which was all we could afford 5 years ago. It was a fabulous, reliable little motor but now with a 3rd grandchild on its way we need a bigger one. Also we needed a bigger boot as daughters car is a Citroen C1 and the boot is tiny so when we all go away together we have to load ours to the hilt. Bonus is our new one has a tow bar so when I do buy the caravan we can collect it and take it to its new home which saves a lot of money. Bigger bonus, I pay the car tax and the new one is only £31.50 a year or somewhere around that. Small wins but it all adds up.Clearing the junk to travel light

Brilliant news about PPI and the car and low car tax. The table mats sound v useful. I didn't know you could make them with special material I buy them and they can be expensive. Well done you ginny.

Well barely had time to sit still lately. We had a gender reveal at daughters house and its a girl, blessed either way. Her partner decided to make his first roast dinner for us to eat out in the garden for 11 people! It was bloomin lovely especially as I didn't lift a finger for once.
My brother has had to find a rental apartment till his new house is built as his is sold. He has sent me about 30 bags of stuff to dispose of as I see fit. Some of it was a few weeks ago so thats been dealt with but I have been busy sorting out what to do with it all. Some had gone to lady who raises funds for a local kids football team, some to charity shop and the rest is waiting in my garage till the bigger shops start accepting donations. I have several choice pieces of clothing and leather handbags which Im going to sell on fleabay and the money can go in my pot - as agreed with big bro. So Sunday is put aside for taking photos and putting it all up for sale. Seriously my sister in law wears things once! He also sent 2 boxes of Cds but the places that buy cds arent buying at the moment so packed them away in my office for now. I certainly wont be bored for the next week, if nothing else I will feverishly be watching for bids and listening for kerrchings on my phone

It's great that you heard about the baby. Something great to look forward too. You have a big job of things to sell but think of all the money you will get. Omg wishing you lots of kerrchings on your phone, fantastic.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220

Did as planned on Sunday and put several things on fleabay. Suprising how much interest there is in random things. I actually put something on, not realising it was worth a good bit of dosh so crossing my fingers now. Did my homework and handbags arent selling at the moment nor big faux fur coats (obviously). Sorted out more of my baby succulent plants and posted them locally, sold 9 to one person 10 minutes after posting and she ordered 10 more. She actually sent me a pic of the little garden in a big glass jar she made with them for her little girl. Only real spend has been on a big pack of posting bags 10p each so im organised. I often use wine boxes from Sainsburys but thought I would make my life easier. Onward and upward!!Clearing the junk to travel light

Well done ginnyknit! I've not sold on fleabay for years, but it was good for getting rid of party gear and other stuff from my university days.1
