  • Normal service has resumed. I'm back to work and tired and adjusting to new routines - new people at work, new classes, new timetable etc. It's going to take a couple of weeks to sort myself out definitively but I definitely will get there.
    So today I've started with
:) making a fancy coffee to take with me to work
:) getting fed for free at work
:) using up leftovers for dinner (prepared by the kids while I was working)
    :) quick load of washing
:) writing my to do list and crossing everything off it

    Hi
    Did NSD
    Did club run
And had dinner served when I came back from run (made w stuff from stores/freezer)
And managed to help ds simplify summer homework tasks so he can get started (before he goes back in a day!)
I broke my arm is a slightly better excuse than the dog ate my portfolio! Not ideal though.
    Sleep well,

  • Morning Everyone

    Today's tasks

    Check banking and transfer pennies
Check plants. Coming along nicely apart from the chives which I have to finally admit are beyond help.
    Charge phone and tablet
Finish the ironing- yesterday was a mammoth task so today shouldn't be quite as bad
    Shopping - not a lot
    Make a bolognese sauce
Lunch - Soup that was made yesterday
    Dinner - something from freezer
Bit of tidying - I am trying to get into some sort of routine
Declutter a small drawer in the bedroom which is annoying me.

Hope the weather if fine where you are . It's looking a bit overcast here.
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.

    Morning all

DMNS - every time I read TOMM I see TOTM :rotfl:

Woke up at 5 this morning but decided not to try and get back to sleep as no doubt by the time I was off, it would be getting up time. Seem to be sniffling and coughing today so I hope I don't have a cold. Have took an antihistamine in the hopes it's hayfever.

Another clothing sale of fil's last night so I need to package up and send this evening. Also a FB query about some more so maybe they will sell.

    Today's mission:
    :heartpuls B/L/D from stores
:heartpuls Charge phone in work - done
:heartpuls Gym at lunchtime if programming appears - nope so nipped to retail park and searched for bikini top needed for holiday. Found one for £5.
    :heartpuls Check PMP - done
:heartpuls Try to work very hard and make some headway
:heartpuls Package up dinner suit and take to parcel drop off - done
:heartpuls Respond to ebay query. Perhaps alter photos in listings - done
:heartpuls OH to do housework - done
:heartpuls Research hotel and trains for a trip - done
:heartpuls Might as well list another ebay bundle as faffing about with app

    Have a good one all

    Hi everyone :hello:

Well, we're back to reality after our long weekend away... So all the post-holiday shenanigans going on with washing/putting away etc. The weather is miserable here unfortunately so I'll need to hang everything in the conservatory as won't be able to get it out. Maybe I'll see what I can put in the TD just to speed it up a bit.

DNMS - saw your post on last week's thread. TOMM is amazing for what seems like little effort...right?! When we got home yesterday I was so happy our living room looked perfect (until we unloaded the car:p) and the kitchen was spotless too. :T Today I think I will catch up with an hour easily. :T

After all our travelling yesterday I think a day at home is in order... Might go out a walk later but we'll see...

    - Wash clothes on quick wash
    - Leftovers for lunch
    - Batch cook chilli - OH can take leftovers for lunch tomorrow
    - Sort Bullet Journal for Sept
    - Sort YNAB with all monthly bills coming out
    - Online shop arriving today so write meal plan on fridge when it comes (according to BBE dates)
    - Do my own nails
    - Dance class tonight - not particularly DFW-esque but a good bit of me time :D

I need to decide what to do about my mortgage. After waiting for ages for the guy to call me back he just annoyed me when he did. He couldn't really talk to me about the details of the deal he found because my case was in for peer review (why he's calling me back today) but I think he was saying he'd found me a deal with no fee but I think it was working out more expensive overall than the one I had found with a fee upfront. Just need to decide whether I can part with £999 of my mat leave fund for the fee as don't want to add it onto the mortgage tbh...
  • Quick list as I'm meant to be working:

    Small targeted shop
Run, really enjoying this at the moment so want to keep momentum
Pay a big bill from savings
Pay small lessons from savings piggy
    Meals from planner
Pick up contacts and get a receipt to claim back through cash plan and then submit claim. Buy them initially on my just for points cc ;)
Update sheet as interest paid today on ISA
    Clean one more area
Do some 'badge work' with smalls tonight before they go off to an activity

Have a good day all. Purps.

    .

    Hi September Savers,

Trying to fit a lot in today as I'm on Annual Leave.

    Debt-Free-Nillionaire Continuity Plan Year Five:

    * Check online banking. Done.

    * Swap over two pieces of furniture in sitting room before one of us falls over the larger item....again. Done.

    * Get laundry sorted before we go abroad. In progress.

    * Re-use paper packaging from a recently received gift. Done.

    * Go to cinema on 2-for-1 Meerkat Movies.

    * Harvest and dry mint. Done.

    * Harvest mint and dry in mini nuclear reactor. Done.

    * Found a carrier bag. Use for bin. Done.

    * Tidy house. Done.

    * Make scrambled egg while I have a fake Brillo Pad on the go. Done

    * Find whatever mystery object I kicked under the chest of drawers yesterday. Done. It was a pen.

    * Finish renovating my late father's wooden toolbox and find a 'home' for it in the Study. Done.

    * Sew in a loose cotton on a t-shirt. Done.

    * List old Wifi router on eBay. Yesterday we got put on a new contract and we got a new box with it. Done.

    * Continue my Challenge 500 miles challenge to travel 500 miles for free before the end of 2019: walking, hiking, climbing, cycling, running and swimming. I'm up to 330/500.

    * Put away a project that is sprawling all over sitting room and isn't getting done anytime soon. Done. Had formally put it on hold.

    * Clean muddy hiking boots after yesterday's muddy adventure and spray with (silicon-based) furniture polish. Done.

    * Archive photos. Hate this job. Done.
