    OK I know it's not exactly part of this forum - but I need to apply for full time jobs/and or freelance stuff - so in the 4 days I have coming up Thurs - Sunday I will apply for 3 jobs and 1 coaching opportunity.
    Got it! (I keep distracting myself and need a bit of accountability and focus).

    Todays list
    * scan a copy of ds2s hospital appointment for his to take into school (will use reclaimed rm survey papers for this) done but he might have handed it to the wrong person... will question him more when he comes home as his text didn't make much sense now sorted, will pop it into the school reception myself instead
    * make a chicken and chickpea curry, should have made it yesterday but made fajietas instead which is one of the kids favourite meals froze the chicken and having filled pasta for an easy tea tonight will make the curry later in the week
    * check banking/update spreadsheet and download an online statement for an account I've just closed
    * two classes at the gym again - definitely getting value for my £16/month! done
    * meet up with friend for :coffee: I have enough loyalty stamps for a free one this time. done and she did help with talking around my current stress, couldn't solve it but good to talk it through
    * set an alarm to remind me to text ds2 on his morning break to check he's got an answer that makes sense and if not ring the school (this is probably why I've not slept tonight) Last night it was gone 7pm when this query came up) this also didn't make sense so I popped up to the school on my way back and they're going to check and ring me back. Got call back and it was a printing error so my sleepless night was over nothing :mad:
    * make families lunches for tomorrow - inc taking sausage rolls & mini banana muffins out of the freezer done
    * go to aldee with my list done
    * rm surveys done
    * continue the 5 mins on/off thing I was doing yesterday as I did seem to get more done then I'd expected being so tired. not done much as I've not been here much!! always tomorrow for cleaning!

    Just surviving the day is the only other plan!

    Take care all.
    sorry for the repost, I couldn't get back onto my message to edit. I'm so tired I'm sure I was doing something really daft!

    Hi September Savers,

    Trying to fit a lot in today as I'm on Annual Leave.

    * Check online banking. Done.

    * Climb on roof. ;) Fix leaky pipe. Climb off roof. Done.

    * Continue my Challenge 500 miles challenge to travel 500 miles for free before the end of 2019: walking, hiking, climbing, cycling, running and swimming. I'm up to 330/500. Maybe later.

  • Hey all,

    Welcome to the new posters :)

    I am not having a fun day in work - can't talk about it online but it has def upset my equilibrium.

    Normal workday things today, plus I need to drop the parcel off because I forgot this morning. I'm also going to list some ebay bits while OH at work cos it was upsetting him.

    Have a good one all

    Hi, can I join you all? Have a substantial amount of debt to clear and whilst I've got myself organised to tackle that, I think the little things will be a big help too.
    I've already put the credit card away (although have one final payment to make before its clear) and one of the biggest savings will be stopping buying lunch/coffee's at work - so more organisation at home (TOMM) and more home cooking. I actually made bread last night and it was lovely! Felt very homely making packed lunches with it this morning!!

    Today I have:
    Put on a load of washing
    Checked the bank accounts
    Done online shopping and booked recurring delivery
    Seen eldest off to first day at 6th form and youngest back to year 10.

    I will:
    Hang and dry and crucially PUT AWAY washing
    Maybe do another load
    Ironing
    Quick scoot round bathrooms
    Make beds
    Vac through
    Walk dogs
    Go for a run
    Make something for dinner
    Fill big gap round door frame where the water's getting in :eek:

    ...so not much!:D

    Morning all, welcome to the new posters :)

    Dawn, I hope you slept better and are feeling better today too.

    Yay I slept so much better then the last few days so actually feeling pretty human today.

    Todays list is going to be a grower I think as I'm just going to see what happens
    so far....
    * washed a load on the quick 30 degree wash and hung out :)
    * 2nd load in ^^
    * kids to school on the school bus so no stopping off at the shops on the way
    * 2 gym classes done and water bottle refilled there 3 times
    * showered at home after cutting open the bottle of shampoo which was pretending to be empty (left hair to dry naturally as I often do )
    * made a start on ds1s packed lunch for tomorrow
    * made a use up omelette for my brunch, stuck in some chives and mushrooms from the back of the fridge.

    To be continued..(as Im going to eat it now!:T
    * 2nd load out and a 3rd load in the wash (all done on the quick wash cycle)
    * ironed what needed doing, hung the rest straight away
    * made omelettes for tomorrow's breakfasts/brunch
    * rm survey for received items
    * cleaned upstairs windows inside and out as a bird had made a right mess on my bedroom window
    * walked to the post box with more rm items and took a tupperware so that I could collect some blackberries. I might see if I can get the kids to come again with me tonight to pick some more as we're forecast heavy rain tomorrow and there was loads of them.
    * made a spag bol ready for tonights meal
    * prepped last of the salad veggies (starting to look sorry for themselves) ready for the kids coming home from school to have with some houmous.
    * ironed more as dh's shirts dried on the line
    * finished off ds1s packed lunch
    * washed the blackberries and froze into the bags already in the freezer
    * checked banking/updated spreadsheet
    * run the dishwasher on the quick wash
    * all washing dried and now away :)
    * started a charity shop bag with a couple of tshirts ds2 has outgrown.

    Afternoon all!

    Today I have/will:
    * Check banks
    * Do washing up
    * Snap receipt
    * Transfer end of "old" coffee into the new one OH has started!
    * Take lunch to work
    * Not renew parking pass - had a meeting this morning and off tomorrow so made more sense to renew on Monday, rather than wasting 3 days when it won't get used
    * Give boss receipt for expenses - paid straight to me so will pop into the bank at lunch
    * Check PA/ OP
    * Request cashout from PA
    * Text friend to ask to borrow something
    * Go to circuits
    * Dinner from stores (although no idea yet!)
    * Wash hair and let dry naturally

    Does anyone consider "little things" when driving? Not just not using the car and walking/ cycling instead, but actually how you drive?

    My car tells me how economically I'm driving and gives a score out of 100 plus stars under different categories (e.g. acceleration and gear change), which I reset every time I fill up. Well let's just say OH got an ear bashing when he drove it only 20 miles just after I'd reset (so was at 100) only for when I checked for it to be at 29!!! 29 and only 3 out of 15 stars - what's he been doing???!!! Told him that he either drives it better or doesn't drive it! (He has a works truck so uses mine to run around in)

    I have now managed to get it back up to 57 with 7 stars by driving sensibly, and will aim to get this up and keep it up for the month! I've also been having the windows down rather than turning on the aircon.

    Think that's everything for today. Hope you all have a good day.
