    Hi all:j

Sorry can't help with thread mothernerd as am away for all of August..

Out again today in the slightly cooler weather - off to visit the rellies. Decided to be kind & made a cake to take with me, bad move as it meant I was rushing around to finish it instead of calmly getting ready. Then the journey took forever due to bad choice of route (him) forgetting phone & having to go back (me) & tons of roadworks. Should have been there for 12 but it was 12.45 before we got there....sigh. Never mind it was good to see them & get some FH info from my uncles.

NSDs: 12/12 as no spending today

Lunch with made for us, supper from stores.

Hopefully will be cooler tomorrow so can get on with some of these jobs before we go away....

    Good Morning.

apple/mothernerd - I can't do August as I will be away at the beginning and in the middle. I will do another month later though.

I am loving the heat and am really sad it is cooling down, I know a lot of you suffer and will appreciate it being cooler. Weirdly I do love winter too.

I worked the last two days in a sealed air conditioned room within another sealed air conditioned room and actually had a cardigan on all day Thursday - until I came out of work that is. Yesterday DH had a small spend in Asda on snacks - his usual Friday spend, it was DH's payday yesterday, he has just got last years and this years payrise but I have decided to do all our sums on the old figure and put the difference straight into savings. I moved money into various pots yesterday and when I get paid next week we will decide where that is going.

We are spending some of our house renovation money on a fence today, it is really annoying though. We have a large plot here and the entire perimiter is gorgeous yorkshire stone dry stone walls to about 4ft, behind our house is a bungalow with a new owner, the wall between our properties was covered across the top in about 3ft of ivy and horizontalis something or other and one day when I came home from work he had had the lot cleared and a big laurel removed from behind our next door neighbour. The problem is from the cul-de-sac behind us (where the bungalow is) you can now see all the way into the back of our houses so it is leaving it really easy to hop over the wall and break in or whatever. On top of that this guy spends literally 12 hours a day walking about in his garden with no shirt on (very, very overweight pensioner) so there is no privacy. Well this weekend a fence is going up.

Just lost the inspiration post. Don't even know what I did ie don't think I pressed anything. Are you sure I'm competent to run this thread?

Ate and had another shower then went to see the evening film. The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society - absolutely brilliant.
I saw that dvd via a charity shop a little while ago, I thought it was great! Much better than I was expecting.

This is so clever, and so true :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Gratitude ... time. I'm grateful to have time that's under my own control, so I can decide what I want to do and when, depending on my energy levels, whether I'll get soaked or not :D or whether I fancy doing something or not. Really important.

Oh, and gratitude for this thread, it definitely makes a difference. Thank you.

Gratitude is the bridge to abundance

Happiness is... doing absolutely nothing except a little reading and a little eating

    Good Morning Turtles!
Double figures on the NSDs! up to 10 now. Mostly because money is running out!

DS1 came back from NCS a different boy, happy, chatty, full of beans and enthusiasm, or it could have been sleep deprivation, as he has woken up late this morning, and is grumpy with his younger brothers. Normal service has been resumed. Perhaps he will perk up with a bit of food.

Relaxing day today, enough food in fridge/freezer to do today, with a bit of jiggery pokery, going for NSD 11. Will have to shop tomorrow though.

It is cooler now, still warm to me, but the kids slept well for the first time in a week. At last.

    Hello all :coffee:
Back from a week of sunning myself in Bulgaria, to stuffy, non-airconditioned home and loads of rain. I hear it was warm while I was away, and some other buffoon has been put in charge of the country.
On the plus side we had a fab time and the kids want to go again next year if I can afford it. On the down side I have gained a lot of weight and even more washing to be getting on with.
Anyway, normal service shall now recommence - I've done a massive list of things I need to get done and am slowly making my way through it. I'm tired today for sure... but as always I will keep plodding on.
