NSD 8 in the bag.
Going to go volunteering in a minute.
DH is going off camping tonight, so I will be a family of 4 until DS1 returns late on Friday night.
It is all getting a little bit Agatha Christie, 6,5, 4, 3, 2, 1, little Indians.
I have vanquished the laundry mountain! until DS1 returns with his rucksack.
Too hot, it was 27.7 degrees in my bedroom last night at 11 when I went to bed. North facing room, no direct sunlight, closed thermal blinds.
On the plus side it was only 24degrees when I got up at 6. I honestly do not know how people cope in countries where this is normal behaviour. Hats off, (or on!) to them. I am a wuss.

Hoping to get a NSD today as we are just sitting in doors. DS sitting in a flexitub with water playing with his boats and I am infront of the fan trying to cool down.
Have taken advantage of the sun though and got lots of washing out on the line drying! Don't think it'll take long.

NSD No 19
God it is so hot and we're in the cool bit of the country.
Gas man came today to do the safety check, Apparently when they installed the new boiler it was set to preheat. Not necessary apparently and he's reset it but I've been paying for unnecessary gas and electricity for the last couple of years. Well that's a lesson on not finding out how things work, isn't it?
So Himself is making baked potatoes for dinner. I like those and don't find them too filling.
Been a bit naughty today. I've had a couple of glasses of very cold , sparkly, white wine but I am so hot. Not an excuse, I know.
Just had a text from my neighbour. Just about to board a plane for her holidays and remembered she hadn't taken he washing in. Must be the heat!!!Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0 -
Have achieved NSD's the last few days.
Grateful things from the last few days:
Brother brought me some dvd's - got them delivered.
Have read some more short stories of the book.
Not over doing it due to the heat.
Achieving little household chores the last few days.
Did as much walking as I can the last few days, but stayed in today.Frugal Living Challenge 2025 Mortgage free as of 1st August 20130 -
Hi all,
Sorry for my absence. I need to come back and stick with it. Work has been unrelenting this year but I have finally finished the two maternity contracts and two summer exam contracts and broke up today.
Tomorrow I will start afresh with everything but baby steps. Exercise (gym class/swim plus 15,000 steps a day), eating (stick to slimming world, weighed in tonight and want to lose 17 pounds in 6 weeks, might be possible as a stretch goal!) and money (add no extra debt this month and get some money from summer job).
Wish me luck!LBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

Today I am grateful for catching up on recording my receipts, for dd being discharged from a particular hospital that takes us 2 hours either way to get to, for plenty of water, for dd being such a stoic on the roasting journey home, for a paddling pool ready to get in to, for good books.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

Hi all:j
Up early, it was good as I could let the beasts out whilst it was cool, also gardening was possible at 6.30am who knew?
No NSD again today as we went out as planned - had said not to bother to DH but he said we should. Thank goodness for aircon cars, we eventually found our way to the (plant) nursery. It was actually very nice, but of course a bit too hot for comfort.
DD in France experiencing temps of 40deg ugh
NSDs 11/12
Picked raspberries & made jam - & a cake as well, must be nuts as by this time it was very hot. Still the fruit needed to be used & I couldn't just waste it. Kidding myself it was like having a sauna..
Off out tomorrow but shouldn't cost as am visiting rellies. Their turn to cater for us..although I may take cake if I get up early enough to bake..
