The second quote is so true.
Thanks mothernerd for the info on the fruit, if I want to put the new plant in a different place how do I remove the runner, do I just break it off and push it into the soil in a new place?

It is baking hot today and mum says it is supposed to be really hot tomorrow. Feel like I'm melting - it's so unfair, when you feel as though you are melting, all the fat should drop off you like a donner on the spit.
Not very productive day. Struggling with the heat and various minor injuries (slapping antiseptic cream and sun cream everywhere to avoid complications - bite on my arm looks horrible but less painful). Think the bite poison has got into my system so I'm lucky to be managing anything.
Did wash my hair and do some much needed extra grooming this morning but did not sleep well so was exhausted by 10 am. Ate cheese spread on crispbread and finished the cooking bacon at home then bought mum a lot of salad type stuff plus fruit, cooked meat and cheese. Had a lie down on mum's bed. My neck has been sore for the past week and mum's room is cool in the afternoon and I can find positions to ease the stiffness and aching.
Today I am grateful for butterflies, emptying a whole sack full of paper into the recycling bin (hope to do more - I have 3 near identical 6 page letters from the WTC people) and getting shopping done despite the heat.My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -
Hi all:j
Got outside & did some gardening before it got too warm, also cut grass, maybe not the best idea.
All food from stores, minimal sojourn in the kitchen as so hot.
DD & co arrived at their destination, thank goodness. She says its very nice, hope she has a good time.
Just realised I got a load of stuff out in the bedroom to sort & piled it on the bed....OK I think I need to go & clear a space for sleeping now!
NSDs now 11/12

Afternoon everyone, managed NSD #6 yesterday.
Had busy couple of days dealing with household carp - had infestation of flies in the kitchen so cleaned it from top to bottom and found the source - note to self - be more clutter free so horrible things can't hide behind stuff; yesterday my oven door (hinges broke a few months ago) flew open as I nudged it and the heat proof glass part slid out and smashed into a million pieces all over the floor!
So i now have the most tidy kitchen i have ever had but it has no oven and a temperamental toaster - so we will mostly be eating pasta and salad....
On other subjects - i went to my HIIT class last night, crikey it was hard in the heat, and my legs are actually painful today. I have been eating from stores.
Gratitudes - DD1 got lots of lovely cards, presents and messages from the children she looks after at pre-school; felt good after HIIT class; lovely sleep after 2 nights of being awake till 2.00am
Hope everyone is ok
