    Still on NSD No 17

Hot, isn't it? And I'm in the cooler part of the country. Just as well I'm not in the South East. I don't think I could stand those temperatures.

Went for hypertension check this morning. Blood pressure is perfect but I need to loose weight and exercise more. I am trying, honestly!! At least I was a little lighter than this time last year. The nurse was lovely. Very helpful and encouraging. Got an asthma check in a couple of weeks. She says she'll check my weight then and see how I'm getting on. At least walking to the Health Centre was a bit of exercise.

Used the rest of the chicken to make chicken salad for lunch and the stock to make chicken noodle soup. That's it all used up now. Healthy salmon for dinner. Just had to buy a few vegs and some salad things so budget still under for this week.

    Off to cool down.
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.

We are currently at 30 degrees, and it will be 20 degrees at 5am tomorrow. It is so sticky, but the washing is drying in less than an hour, which is handy, so all the beds were done today, even the mattress toppers.

Then I ruined my NSD by going out and buying cordial, fizzy pop and ice cream. So still on NSD7 but the house is at least, cleaner and tidier than when I started.

The fridge is full of strawberries, and hm greengage compote, and hm stewed plums, and big pots of yoghurt.

The cc bill came and it was pretty horrific.

8 days til payday. I do not want to cook.

    and now

    Boris

    Indeed. Boris.

Today I am grateful for waking up early enough to do my workout while it was still cool, for working out outside, for adventurising to a different library while ours is being renovated, for dd and I getting about 25 books between us and still being able to run for the bus, for dh making the eaves squirrel-proof, and for re-mending the gutter end, for a quiet day with both sets of noisy neighbours going out, for lovely chats with neighbours, for a good swim with dd.

    Hi all:j

It did indeed take almost an hour to move all the carp off the bed last night...note to self, do not leave that kind of job half-finished. Added insult to injury as also left open top cupboard in bedroom & carp fell out onto the floor....sigh...

Awoke early & got the canines out into the garden whilst still cool, did some watering, supposed to rain overnight so hopefully won't have to do it tomorrow. DDs duvet washed & line dried..

Did a bit of shopping before stint at CS - holidays from school - so more bargains to be had in the diddle of Lidl, therefore not an NSD. Still 11/12.

Friend round this afternoon & her DH has relented (or seen the error of his ways) & has said it's ok for her to come over to visit me for a few days in Eire when I'm there. It's great as I had envisaged being on my own for about 10 days...

All food from stores, thankfully supper I could just hot up as already made chilli a few days ago.

Very warm here but DD is in France where it is pushing 40 deg

Maybe off out tomorrow, also Thursday & Friday too, could get used to this although not much clearing will be going on.

Checking in most days; Hello turtles!

May you have the courage this week to begin breaking patterns in your life that no longer serve you. Give yourself permission to pause and reflect today. Remember taking care of yourself doesn't mean 'me first', it means 'me too'

Yesterday was hot. Took me hours just to get ready for the day. Took my CPAP machine to mum's and had a couple of sessions - I didn't sleep but the filters kept the pollen out of me, the cool air helped and I felt much more comfortable and relaxed.

Made salads for tea using things I had bought on Monday and made another one for mum for today plus cut up half a watermelon (one sixth in a bowl, 2 sixths cut and wrapped up and the other half covered and put away in the salad drawer). Checked mum's pills (to see that she's still taking the extra mycophenelate), ordered new packs of free pads and have yet another shopping list (gathering stuff for a delivery).

Taxi home took ages (crossed wires) so it was 9 pm when I got in. I put my bin out, brought in the dried washing and was ready to go to sleep at 10.30 pm.

Rain overnight has helped and I have slept well (though probably need longer chunks of sleep).

I am grateful for my CPAP machine, for butterflies and books.

Went into town yesterday with DD, bought DH and DS a t shirt each in the charity shop, I got some wide leg summer trousers. Bought coffee beans and some fruit and veg from the greengrocers. Returned an item for a refund and dropped some school uniform off at the library.

As I left the office yesterday for a trip to the bank, a colleague shouted out the window to bring in milk for the office. There goes my NSD!

Tonight, after work, I've a dinner planned with some colleagues to introduce a new start. So there will be another spend no doubt.

Speky - why don't you put a tenner aside at the start of the month, and use that for milk, like we suggest for kiddie activities or window cleaners?

OK, I am officially jealous. I cannot operate wide leg trousers. There, I have said it. Not even PJs. It goes something like this ...
try and walk down the stairs, catch big toe of right foot in wide leg of left trouser, fall down the stairs.:(
Sit on the sofa with leg under me, get up, catch toe of left foot in wide leg of right foot, faceplant on carpet, get up while everyone tries really hard not to laugh and look concerned. :T. They do not try hard enough IMO.

Go to sleep, wake up with right foot stuck in left leg foot hole, explaining the dreams of being hogtied:rotfl:.

My name is f0xh0les and I cannot operate wide leg trousers. Am I alone in this?
