Still NSD No 20
Spends today were steak pie for tomorrow's dinner (requested by the Boy) and some YS items (fish and veg) now in the freezer. I don't think I'll need to buy much more this week. I'm going through my many cookery books to try to update our meals but using some of the many and varied ingredients that I unearthed when I tidied the store cupboards. Honestly don't know what to do with some of it.
Sunshine has gone and it is now raining very heavily. Hopefully that means it'll be cooler tonight and we can get some sleep.
Apple - I'm looking forward to the Tour going in to Paris tomorrow.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0 -

Hi all:j
Not an NSD as I ordered something from the sales...sigh...I never learn..
NSDs: 12/12
Poured with rain all day but mercifully cooler, good for us & the animals..
Made list last night & did quite a lot from it, including finally clearing out the fridge & making lemon curd....plus some clearing, not before time tbh
All food from stores today, but will have to go shopping tomorrow mainly for animals.
Sorry to hear about your fence dolly, what a nuisance to have to spend cash for that reason. We have some new neighbours next door, have no idea what they're doing but a digger has been involved for the entire day:eek:

I'm awake (reluctantly) waiting for an Icyland order. As Friday was spendy anyway I put in several future food orders. I had a voucher and someone was complaining about running out of cordial so put together a small food shop with lots of stock ups (hot sauce and ketchup which seems to disappear every time I turn round - although the dregs can sometimes be found hidden in a corner of the front room).
Did an order to be delivered to mum's on Monday when I'm there (+ picked a time when delivery is cheap) then ran into difficulties trying to do a next month food delivery to cover things that are unavailable/ more expensive at Icyland. Arseda site wasn't playing at all (got on there but screen wouldn't load), Tesimo's was fine for a while then started to put a 'refresh the page' note up so I tried going for the checkout instead (there were quite a few things in my basket by then) but no dice. A sains'bug ad came up so tried them. Not used them for years so opted for registration. It let me fill in a lengthy form then said reg had been unsuccessful for the following reasons - none was given.
So gave up but ventured back last night to see if my T basket had survived. Had to set another delivery time but otherwise okay. The web hates me. No, all technology hates me (sorry had a bad experience with a runaway printer during an exam once). Even DS3 asked about it as he 'didn't know anyone else who had these issues'. I have been telling the boys for years that tech stuff goes wrong when I am in the vicinity.
Will send inspiration when more bits of me are in working order.
I am grateful for the rain (sighed with happiness over the grey skyies and wet green leaves), for tap water (we never realise what an everyday miracle it is just to turn on a tap and have clean water, until something goes wrong) and books (solace, salvation, constant companion). My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -
Morning everyone
Glad the heatwave is over but not keen on never ending rain! Glad I washed bedding on Friday and DD1 put it out on the line and also that I mowed the lawn Friday eve
I bought a bit of food yesterday - having to eat things that can be made on the hob or in the toaster as no oven atm....
Did some of my self employment work yesterday then went to the garden centre for inspiration for friend's birthday present - bought a couple of nice gifts and not expensive either. Then decided to go to the gym! Not been for a few weeks but enjoyed it and not very busy at all. Called at Aldee on way home for some treats to send to DD2 who's away staying with her boyfriend for a few weeks.
Had a relaxing eve on the sofa with a glass of wine and Killing Eve on iplayer.
Have got to send DD2 half her uni room rent for August so a spendy day again.
Need to crack on with self employment then meeting friend for birthday coffee and chat
Hope everyone has a good day

Apple - I love the Tour but I have to get Himself to explain the tactics to me sometimes.
Lazy Sunday. Himself was up really early (he's started going to bed early, thank goodness) and made a mash for Dinner later. Lazy dinner - everything just to go in the oven.
Lots to do tomorrow, though.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0 -
Took 2 kids to see Pokemon Detective Pikachu on at kids club - the price has gone up to £3.50 now they have revamped their screens and they only have recliner seats. Took our own popcorn, then hit Mr M's and home in time for lunch and T00tsie on tv - explained the plot, had discussion on feminism , yesterday they watched Mrs Doubtfire and now are wondering if there is a transvestitism series of films . or if it is merely coincidence.
So still on NSD 11 and 3 days til payday.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!
