Hi all :j
Not much achieved today at home as most of day spent out....and also again not an NSD. Tomorrow won't be either as shopping day & CS volunteering. However friend is not coming round in the afternoon so will be able to get some things done hopefully.
NSDs: still stuck on 12/12
Didn't spend on food out however - as I made a car picnic to take with us.
Drove to Wilmslow to pick up truly hideous painting bought at auction (DH) & then a trip to John Lewis which I enjoyed bit more. Resisted the siren call of more clothes but did buy some wool that was half price. Then into Sainsbobs for a few things the discounters don't stock.
All food from stores, but not from garden today.
Have made some progress on packing/sorting for upcoming trip. Really do not want to be dashing round stuffing things in bags at the 11th hour, as normal. Resolved that will not happen this time.
Checking in most days: Hello turtles!!New start JAN15 - NOT BUYING IT 2015 . Long haul DFW #145 : 2011 DEBTBUSTING : £5500 OD GONE, £2000 OD - GONE £93,610.30 cc & loan debt - GONE 27.6.14 FINALLY DEBT & MORTGAGE FREE :happyhear0 -

OMG where are you going to put it???
Today will be NSD 11, as I wasted yesterday's as we needed milk.
Have to drive DH to train station after lunch as he is in Newcastle til Thursday. So back down to feeding the 4. This is so weird. Just chillin' as next week will be so stressful, so a spot of light furniture moving, and hoovering and watching Spurs on ITV4 this afternoon, and reading is all I am prepared to do today.
Got conned into making a big meal last night, as they refused sandwiches, and then they all complained they were not hungry.... after getting me to make a toad in the hole with roasties and 3 veg, and a plum and cherry crumble. They had the leftover crumble for breakfast with yoghurt.
Well they are getting soup and a (possibly toasted) sandwich tonight. Lump it.
The rain is on now, for pretty much the next 3 days according to the weather forecast. It is hammering down here. So wish me luck on the station trip, I might need a tow from a tugboat on the way home.

I've done this with them in the past, and come to the conclusion that they are self-creasing curtains. All 4 of 'em. They are 100% cotton so all I now need to do is dig out the iron and see if it still works ...:DNST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
NSD No 22
Just back from a lovely lunch at a local Italian restaurant with my lovely cousin. Her treat for my birthday which was in December. I'm appalled that we haven't haven't seen one another in all that time. It made me realise that I haven't seen my sister in law since Christmas. I know everybody has their own lives to lead lead but this is ridiculous. It's sheer laziness on my part. It has to stop.
What it did do was to make me stop slobbing about, style my hair and put on some make up and nice clothes. Right, really need to get a grip.
Took my glasses to the optician. Something wrong with the way they fit. They are digging into my nose so badly that I can't wear them. I'll have to go back tomorrow because they were so busy and after twenty minutes I couldn't wait any longer.
Himself has spent the day reading and is having baked potato with coleslaw for dinner. The Boy is coming for dinner and I have a long list of things to do tomorrowHave adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0 -
Afternoon everyone
f0xh0les - I wish I could've come to yours for dinner last night, your food sounded yummy!
Going to have to call at Mr T for a few things - cheese and bread and cat food mainly so won't be a NSD.
Been to see a physio & got exercises for bad back and neck and shoulders etc - was in a RTA many years ago and fed up of feeling achy and tense. Must make sure I do the exercises now - self care
Ate all meals from stores so far.
Found 2 cards from my supplies for my friend's birthday and for my sister who has had a minor procedure.
Gratitudes - DD1 home tonight; nice chat on the phone with DD2; NHS physio; made some progress with my qualification ; I got a line of washing dried this morning and took it indoors before the rain came down on my way to physio.
Hope everyone has a nice evening

Today I am grateful for a quiet morning, for easy blood tests, for time with dd, for successful curtain-ironing and wonderwebbing, for getting a good workout done while dd swam, for not getting too soggy whilst out and about, for making progress on some things.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0
