Apple - I love the Tour but I have to get Himself to explain the tactics to me sometimes.

Tactics? You mean it's not simply pedal as hard as you can for as long as you can?????!!

Today I am grateful for good friends, for a wonderful mouse-felting craft class, for dd and I being inspired to carry on felting, for a friend making us a yummy gf choc cake, for dd having fun with her friends, for a small puddle of space appearing downstairs, for a good book, for tinterweb - always!

Quietly productive day. As always there is more I could have done but 2 bins are now half full, most of the front room floor is visible and I moved the small couch and got all the gubbins out from under and behind it - DS3 offered to shove it back into place but only gave it one push (which strained his arm, poor delicate little 6' 7 hulk that he is).

Dishwasher finally got emptied (he did part of it yesterday then said he had run out of motivation) and I refilled it. Beloved set it off just as I went back to the kitchen with yet another hidden plate.

Still grateful for the rain but the little gaps helped with the frequent trips to the bins, lovely leftover with added veg have kept me fed (ate most of the celery, one satsuma, a bit of cheese and drank all the water first), reading a good book (stocked up on Friday as I only had 2 left which might not have been enough for the weekend) and an old detective series on the laptop.

    Hi all:j

Many thanks for this months' challenge - I might not achieve everything I'd like to but having these challenges do really keep me focussed ..well done everyone!

Not an NSD again, had to go & stock up on various items DH delighted to get one of the cheapy fans from HB...looking at the forecast, I think he'll need it.

Also had to pay tax bill for us both

    NSDs: still 12/12

All meals from stores today even though shopping.

Actually had vegetables from the garden, well spuds & purple beans, very nice

Did do a bit of gardening today before the rain came down again.

    Started packing for next week...

Now going to have a bath, been too hot the rest of the week.

According to the WWF it is World Tiger Day.
They want you to adopt a tiger but as we are being careful with our pennies today you should Embrace Your Inner Tiger
Adopting a Tiger (or other endangered animal) is a good idea for sometime to put on your alternative present list (although i believe the WWF send you/ the recipient a small cuddly toy).

You can also name a star after someone - might be a good idea for a newborn.

Had a wonderful sleep - close to the right timings as well. Currently lurking in bed as I know DS3 is taking Beloved to an appointment. Poised to swoop into their room and gather as much rubbish/ recycling and crockery as possible (may open the window as well if I can reach it). Have already taken a bag of recycling which Beloved had gathered and a few more that were in plain sight yesterday.

Going to have breakfast now (ys salmon sandwich) and read my book.

DH did some painting outside yesterday, it was under cover which was just as well as it rained a lot. He also replaced another one of our drain pipes, our old ones were in a state and the new ones have made everything look much smarter. Went to B&Q to price some things up and bought a few plants to put in some faux terracota pots we already had, not a big spend and makes the front door area look attractive.

Apparently not. Well, that's according to Himself but men like to make things more complicated that they actually are. Paris looked wonderful, as usual.

    Morning all,

I'm stuck on 14 for the month as I had to pop into the SM and get some ingredients which I thought I had. Very frustrating when that happens. Which happens too often to me for my liking.

I must remember the 6 P's that a lecturer told me...

"Proper Planning Prevent !!!! Poor Performance"

At least I remembered 1 thing!
