Sounds flippin' amazing progress to me, mothernerd. Do you talk to yourself while doing it? I find a David Attenborough style, "here, in the natural habitat of the t, they make piles of carp to hide their own smell, the male displays his posessions on every available countertop in order to attract a mate......" type stuff, along with the obligatory 'we're going in!!" at the doorway, and 'you can't understand man, you weren't there!!' The little things to pass the time eh?
I am going to attack the back room after abandoning DS1 at uni halls today - I get him back on Friday, and DH is away 3 days this week too. But first a quick sweep of what is already done.
There, a plan for this week. Still in budget.

Mine's more 'come on', 'you can do it', 'just a bit more' and I call myself Mighty Mouse - come on Mighty Mouse.
Pleased with myself. Have attacked the bedroom (nominally their's but mostly hers whilst DS3 infests the front room). Did 200 things on the first pass - came out while I still could to push the washing and small rubbish bags downstairs (I use their takeaway bags, most of which have been ripped open and aren't a lot of use anyway but stuffed with other rubbish and like pebbles the small ones fill the available bin space more efficiently than a couple of bin bags). The eco bricks have gone away now.
Stopped to let my heart rate go back to normal and my breathing slow down then went back for more. So far have only done around the desk and past as far as the bin area. Put a new bag in the emptied bin but there are still a few bits in the corner (needed a stick or brush, if I'd leaned that far across I might have fallen over and if they didn't notice they might just have buried me under the next load of rubbish).
On my second bag for pots and cutlery and thrown down the second lot of washing and have been as far under the bed as I could sweep with my foot. Would like to hack my way to the wardobes as DS3 has trousers that are too small (probably lots of t-shirts lurking too) and they could go to the cs or be turned into rags.
Just had a shower and wet and combed my hair. Could probably do with a wash but that would have meant getting out and getting back in (curses - I have started automatically putting all the random bottles back into the plastic pockets (shoe hanger) on the bathroom door and the only bottle I could reach was conditioner. Still the wet and comb has smoothed most of the sticky up/ out bits.
Going to bask for a while then try to go back before they come home. I have left two suitcases on the bed (not hinting, one was near the washing machine and kept tripping me up and the other was on the floor under the piles of clothes and rubbish and moving it gives me access to the next patch (could reach the window and open it more). I made DS3 open the front room windows before they left and I turned off all the lights.
Next door neighbour came out when I was decanting a sackload of stuff into the recycling bin. She was amazed at the quantity of rubbish and that I was so cheerful but it's quite exhilarating and I feel I've got my workout in this morning.(Didn't mention that this was the third sack of bottles one of which Beloved had done - but kept them in the room). My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -

Still on NSD No 21
Mothernerd - How do you do it? I get tired just reading what you manage to achieve.
Had to buy some heat type ointment thing for Himself. To add to all his other problems he's now done something to his back. A pulled muscle, he says. I'm not convinced but we'll see. Anyway, we needed milk, eggs and some green veg to go with fish for tonight's dinner.
Changed the bedding and done all the washing but I've had to dry it inside as it's been raining on and off. Finally tidied the spice drawers and the cutlery drawer and the cupboard under the sink. I don't know how we've ended up with so many packets of bin bags and half used kitchen cleaner. Probably because we couldn't find them among the mess. And I found some packets of seeds that I must have intended to grow at some point. Don't know if they'll be any good now but I'll give them a try when I get some more potting compost.
Finished the book I was reading so I'm looking forward to having an early night, cup of tea and starting a new one.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0 -
Today I am grateful for good coffee, for getting dd to the pool this morning, for the friends she'd made there last time also being there, for getting over 30 lengths done whilst they all played, for clearing all the books off dh's big fat bookcase, for moving said bookcase downstairs with dh as the first stage (of many) of swapping rooms over, for washing the big floor-to-ceiling curtains and getting them mostly dry outside, for dd making a HPotter-style strip cartoon for her friend's birthday.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

Put the curtains back up when they are still damp. In this weather they will soon dry and it means you don't have to iron them (nearly all curtain materials any creases will drop out).My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -
Went to buy a galvanised mopping bucket and they've all gone. Caught the edge of my trainer on a kerb and nearly fell.
Went to mum's early as I keep getting told that children have visited and I wasn't there to entertain them - no children today. Pulled up the rhubarb and chopped it up. Several toddles round the front garden pulling up weeds growing through the stones (very hot at the front), deadheaded two rose bushes.
Dealt with mum's food order. Have one medication issue to deal with, a small list of garden items to buy - I'm going to propagate some roses from the man next door's trees (one of those 'we' s again). I've done it before - result is now 47 years old and still going strong. Also a birthday card to post.
Came home and then had my food delivery. Asked DS3 to shout if it arrived early. He did and then disappeared to the loo. Lots of 2 l drinks so had an extensive leg workout - my legs will work again sometime in the next few days but not rushing to do any more this evening (mum has plans for tomorrow).
Today I am grateful for food deliveries, for getting things done and for books and games (still rescuing small animals). My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -
hi all
NSD#8 for me today. Had a busy day at work; used work oven to cook 2 jacket potatoes, had one today for lunch and left the other at work to heat in microwave for tomorrow's lunch. Also had homemade coleslaw and some salad that was in my fridge. Been to exercise class tonight - prepaid - 6 lessons for the cost of 5.
Gratitudes - great exercise class, nice catch up with friend at class, DD1 having a lovely time in the Lakes with Boyfriend, DD2 managed to do some work via an agency.
DxLBM - October 2018; finally debt free on 16 March 2021
