  • Evening all, today was spent mostly at work. My colleague and I walked to our meeting - it took 15 mins each way. all meals have been from stores and it's my second NSD!! Been to exercise class this evening - prepaid - 6 classes for the cost of 5. Had lovely FaceTime with DD2. Sat quietly for 5 mins and tried to concentrate on my breathing and just be still and calm - felt very relaxed. Today I've been grateful for a nice walk in the sunshine; great HIIT class; FaceTime with DD2. Nite everyone Deni xx

    Hi all:j

    Minimise:

Bills Looking to get some secondary DG on our old windows to help with heating this place. This will be a long-term project IMHO. To that end:

Clutter Lots to clear before even survey to do windows could be organised. Started in room that visitors are due to be sitting in on Monday..Progress in room 1 including removing some items, installing others. Clearing out fire grate where bird came down, ugh. Shoved old pillow up chimney (we don't light this fire) to stop any further problems until we can get someone to fit some sort of cowls. Got up early as still loads of cleaning to do before visitors arrived, plus baked a cake as well. Still it looked pretty good I think but more to do in the other rooms now:rotfl: DH has informed me he has a) set up an ebay account & b) found his old PayPal ac - in order to start selling things...I have both those things already so no excuse - other than no time atm.

Spending: Need to budget for groceries. Starting with £300 including pet food.

Unnecessary spends Try to avoid shop visits with DD who is an avid consumer. And then I spend when I didn't intend to. DD as ever went to shops but DH went with her - & he doesn't spend anything. No spends for me today. Possibly DD will not be shopping so much in future as her housemate is leaving at the end of the month, so that means a big hole in her - already stretched - finances.

Waste: Do try not to waste, especially food but will be on it. Think DH is taking it too far when he is trying to stick together a cereal bowl he just broke - well it will be ok, it's only in 3 pieces. He did stick it together but had to admit defeat when you could still see daylight through it ! Mothernerd I think he just did it to wind up DD, I don't really think he was serious...but you never know! Had to throw away something that got forgotten & consequently had gone 'furry' ugh.

    Maximise:
Dreams (dream big): Would like to fit the DG as mentioned earlier, also need the driveway doing but would be a very large amount of cash as it's so big....Clearing the clutter will help enormously with this, both financially & in the long term. Outside painting needed now, will be a big job & need scaffolding. This again will be £££.

    Education

Fruit and veg intake: Definitely need to increase F&V consumption, on this. Not much fruit left but lots of veg included in Nasi Goreng we had for supper. Made a curry for supper & put in fair bit of veg, but could do better.

Getting niggly jobs done Painting inside & out, get builder to fit cowl on chimneys, get chimney swept, painting outside as well. No progress as yet. Too busy clearing/cleaning in prep for all the visitors. No progress yet.

Health: Lose approx. a stone & a half. Probs no progress. See cake making & eating above.

Meal Planning: Need to meal plan as tend to go with the flow, and it doesn't always work out. Plan for next few days so far.

    Moving more
    - More exercise taken as gardening. Todays exercise was cleaning AND gardening.

Time with those you love: Visit of uncle & aunt today, great to see them & did get to discuss a bit of FH with uncle, so a bit useful as well.

    NSD: 3/15

    Hi Apple
I’m a little late to the party but can I please join for this month.
This month is a bit spendy with a wedding this weekend. Three and a half hours away and two days in a posh hotel, plus pressie and spends.
Due to us both of us losing lots of weight ( a good thing) it’s cost us lots for new clothes. We also go on our hols the beginning of next month so this month is about damage limitation.
I’m trying to eat out of the freezer and cupboards as much as possible but have only managed two NSDs so far. Today should be though but I’ll add that tomorrow when I’ve been successful.
    Anyway I better get on
    Have a good day guys

    Morning Ninjas,

Yesterday marked number 2 for me although there's a chance today may become a spend day.

I had said I would come along to a pub quiz organised by my ex-colleague, but he is well known for being unreliable and so I doubt it'll happen. I'm waiting for a spend day so I can purchase some other things, such as train tickets and yoga blocks, so I'm swithering wither to gamble and do it now. It can wait in all honesty.

cuddlymarm - Well done on the weight loss!
mothernerd - I'm never far away

    Morning all!

NSD 2 for me yesterday but 20euros spent at the chemist on necessities that I probably could have found cheaper on the internet but needed asap.

exercised yesterday and read in spanish in whatever gaps i could find during the day. No coffee so far today...I have been offered and refused.

Hope everyone has a great day

    Hi everyone :)

    Just checking in :)
    Minimised -
Waste- I have brought in left overs from last nights tea to have for dinner today, which was made using up left overs :D & I have brought my fruit teas into work in an attempt to use them up. I have IBS & I find peppermint & nettle tea really helps so they do end up being used but when I was getting them out of the cupboard this morning I realised I have a whole range on fruit teas I have only used one of two tea bags out of, so I popped them in my bag & I will endeavour to get through them :D
Unnecessary spends- today is a spend day so I am only on 2, but I am not buying anything I don't need, groceries & wormer for the chickens - I will aim for 5 NSDs by the end of this week

    Maximise-
Health- I did an hour on my bike last night & I am tracking what I eat! I actually think I eat ok, I think I don't move enough as I have an office job so I am working on this.
    Meal plan- done!
Time with those you love- me and DS went into the garden this morning to collect our eggs, alas there were none but it was nice to chat to him & to see him chatting to the chucks & having a play on the swing (we got distracted)

Worked a full day overtime yesterday and it was a NSD too. Will be spending some money today booking some things for when DD and I are in Rome.

Not much else going on really. Started the reading challenge, my first book is 'A Midsummer Night's Dream', only short but some lines have to be read more than once.

Cold and rainy here today, typical as yesterday was lovely, it is chilly too, will run later and dog walk and will make a thai style soup for tea for me.

I love the idea of fruit teas but really don't like drinking them, for some reason they all seem to make me feel really hungry.
