    Hi all:j

Didn't get as much done as I wanted as under the weather all day, must have been the stress building up. However, did get some things done, so celebrate a bit more progress.

    Minimise:

Bills Looking to get some secondary DG on our old windows to help with heating this place. This will be a long-term project IMHO. To that end:

Clutter: Lots to clear before even survey to do windows could be organised. Cleared some more stuff, this time upstairs. Also got rid of another bag of paper rubbish, I swear it breeds.

Spending: Need to budget for groceries. Starting with £300 including pet food. Spent yesterday in Lidl. And in CS. Have receipt ready to file, but about £35/300. No spending today.

    Unnecessary spends
Proud of myself today, as I saw a handbag I 'wanted' on a FB selling page, & immediately stated my interest. Then had second thoughts, it was nice, I did like it, it was being sold for a reasonable price, I have the money - but I have the same bag in other colours!! And lots of other bags too. Messaged seller to retract, no problem as she had a queue of people interested. No spends today.

Waste: Ate leftover sandwiches for lunch - 4 day running now, did waste some strawberries that had gone bad.

    Maximise:
Dreams (dream big): Would like to fit the DG as mentioned earlier, also need the driveway doing but would be a very large amount of cash as it's so big....Clearing the clutter will help enormously with this, both financially & in the long term. Outside painting needed now, will be a big job & need scaffolding. This again will be £££. Did find a few items for selling, ready for photographs.

    Education

Fruit and veg intake: Definitely need to increase F&V consumption, on this. Fruit with breakfast & some veg with supper. Brought an apple up to eat before bed but relieved of it by DD.

Getting niggly jobs done Painting inside & out, get builder to fit cowl on chimneys, get chimney swept, painting outside as well. No progress as yet. Too busy clearing/cleaning in prep for all the visitors. No progress yet. DH fitted new toilet seat yesterday, thankfully before visitors arrived as the seat was cracked, luckily he got it fitted as initially he said it didn't fit. Bravo HB! (& DH of course). No niggly jobs done unless you count some potting on in greenhouse.

Health: Lose approx. a stone & a half. Probs no progress. See cake making & eating above. Same old same old. More visitors, another cake. Damn them all. Better diet today but ate a few sugary things due to feeling unwell.

Meal Planning: Need to meal plan as tend to go with the flow, and it doesn't always work out. Plan for next few days so far. Tomorrow this is happening choose what. Sort of, I do know what's for the next few days. Felt too poorly to clear out fridges though.

Moving more - More exercise taken as gardening. Todays exercise was cleaning AND gardening. Only exercise cleaning in the last 2 days. Note to self, do not have visitors round when you have 3 very large hairy dogs (and a cat) and it has been raining. Out in garden this morning, was very warm although that could be to do with me pulling weeds out of one of the many rockeries.

Time with those you love: Visit of uncle & aunt today, great to see them & did get to discuss a bit of FH with uncle, so a bit useful as well. Visit of BF yesterday, visit of other BF & guest today. Was a hoot - and they gave me a gift card!! And an orchid, how kind. Wish all visitors would pay for their visits LOL. They also said 1. Your hair looks nice (!) and 2. Have you lost weight (absolutely not). They can come again, soon. Time with DH today until I gave up & had a nap for an hour. Then DD came after her shift & after a meal out with her team.

    NSD: 4/15

    Hi everyone

Unexpected NSD 5 for me yesterday.
    - Took my own coffee to work... but drank so much I developed a numb/tingly arm :o
    - Read in Spanish and did online quizzes in gaps between classes
    - Ran from my house the 20min to where the guy I'm seeing lives. He paid for 2 beers and the very generous free tapas meant we didn't even need dinner... so MSE :T

    happy friday everyone

Glad you are feeling an improvement mothernerd. I have this 'Darth Vader in Pyjamas ' image in my head, probably not a good idea to have mentioned it though, sorry. You would rock a death star.

Another 'go to therapy!' from me Indigo, I know it is hard, but try and simplify the bank accounts. Keep everything as simple as possible. You don't need the extra stress.

Managed to finish the planter before the rain came in this morning. Folded all the clothes that were all line dried over the last few days. It means I have lost the entire dining table, but they can take them away when they get back from school. You never know, they might even end up in their drawers.

Have an agreement for a refund for a shoddy pile of nonsense pair of shoes I bought from the Amaz0n. That will be nice and I will buy myself a birthday present with the refund. It is money I have spent out already.

Right - I need some inspiration for f-i-l gift. It has to go by post. I am buying cards today but I am honestly at a loss as to what to get the man. DH is no help whatsoever. The whole family is just weird. It is like they don't know each other. Probably because they don't know each other. Bah!

The weather is miserable here, more fitting for a November day than a June one.

    Gratitudes:
    My roof does not leak
I don't need to go out except to pick up kids
My toe nail varnish looks lovely
I have my cape and mask packed in my bag and can whip them out at a moment's notice!

The rain will water my plants and make them happy.

Creeps back in quietly, after several days awol...…..:o

    Minimise:
-bills - Checked out insurance for BTL - cheapest was actually current provider (ok - if I'd taken cashback into account I could have got another one cheaper - but I've had several cashbacks not track properly/ not get paid etc of late, so wasn't going to bank on it - plus the current provider is a big name and the other wasn't. Energy - washing has generally been line dried this week - although today's is on the heated airer….
-clutter - no progress on this at all this week! (unless sending DD back to her uni flat with some unwanted scourers to help clean it counts....? :D)
-toxic situations and people - been ok this week :)
-unloved items - see clutter :)
-unnecessary spends - think ok since I last checked in - some food shopping but the most unnecessary item was a nata from L1d1
    -waste – nothing :T

    Maximise:
-dreams (dream big) - have been pricing up next Summer's holiday - at leats now I know how much I still need to save (answer = a lot!) BUT it's all good for the memory bank :)
-fruit and veg intake - bit rubbish
-fun + laughter (so important!) - generally had a laugh at work in between things
-generosity (donate, give, help others) stayed on for extra time at work every day this week! (all money going to holiday fund - so that's my incentive) - today's was an extra stint so a colleague who was on the rota could leave early to go and see their daughter (other side of the country)
-getting niggly jobs done (then they can stop bugging you) - Sat down with daughter and ordered a couple of dresses for her to try on for graduation
-health (don’t pay for health issues later in life – be healthy now!)
-moving more (goes with health. Get shifting that booty) - oops
-time with those you love - busy week so far. will make more time over weekend

    NSD 2

Thankful for: Rain for the garden (but I'd like it to dry up tomorrow!), extra hours (more money for holiday!) food in the cupboards/ fridge/ freezer, my children being lovely
