Hi Folks.
Worked today. Feeling a bit peeved about work today. The other people who currently do the same job as me in our department (and the previous people who have left) all have 1/2 hour lunch and finish at 4.30pm, I asked if I could do this when I had been there a couple of weeks and was told no as if one does it everyone will do it. I am going to be bringing it back up again as it's not fair.
Second thing that annoyed me is one woman in our department who is always asking for money. Today she was wanting sponsors for a challenge she is doing for the Line Dancing Foundation, I thought I had misheard her but no, apparently if you are a line dancing teacher and are ill or something they give you money to pay your bills, have you ever in your life heard anything like it? Anyway someone started it off with £10 - why he did that I don't know particularly as this woman bullies him, then more tenners and some fivers, I felt really awkward and put £2 down:mad:. I'm annoyed with myself but it's just so awkward. What woud you guys do?Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Today I am grateful for ibuprofen making my head bearable, for a really useful meeting at dd's sch about their school journey, for the TA I talked to having chatted with dd about things even before lunchtime, for not getting too wet when out and about, for knowing I can go to bed whenever I want to.
Sorry for no quote this morning - I wasn't up to looking for one!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -

Hi all:j
Minimise:
Bills Looking to get some secondary DG on our old windows to help with heating this place. This will be a long-term project IMHO. To that end:
Clutter: Lots to clear before even survey to do windows could be organised. Cleared some more stuff, this time upstairs. Also got rid of another bag of paper rubbish, I swear it breeds. More sorting upstairs today & more stuff into the garden waste bin. On wards & upwards.
Spending: Need to budget for groceries. Starting with £300 including pet food. Spent yesterday in Lidl. And in CS. Have receipt ready to file, but about £35/300. No spending today.
Unnecessary spends Proud of myself today, as I saw a handbag I 'wanted' on a FB selling page, & immediately stated my interest. Then had second thoughts, it was nice, I did like it, it was being sold for a reasonable price, I have the money - but I have the same bag in other colours!! And lots of other bags too. Messaged seller to retract, no problem as she had a queue of people interested. DH however unimpressed with my restraint. No spends today.
Waste: Ate leftover sandwiches for lunch - 5 days running now, did waste some pineapple that had gone bad. Thank goodness have no more blinking sandwiches left.
Maximise:
Dreams (dream big): Would like to fit the DG as mentioned earlier, also need the driveway doing but would be a very large amount of cash as it's so big....Clearing the clutter will help enormously with this, both financially & in the long term. Outside painting needed now, will be a big job & need scaffolding. This again will be £££. Did find a few items for selling, ready for photographs. Added to pile of For Sale Items but bad weather meant I couldn't photograph as yet.
Education
Fruit and veg intake: Definitely need to increase F&V consumption, on this. Fruit with breakfast & some fruit this afternoon. Need more fruit & no veg eaten today.
Getting niggly jobs done Painting inside & out, get builder to fit cowl on chimneys, get chimney swept, painting outside as well. No progress as yet. Too busy clearing/cleaning in prep for all the visitors. No progress yet. DH fitted new toilet seat yesterday, thankfully before visitors arrived as the seat was cracked, luckily he got it fitted as initially he said it didn't fit. Bravo HB! (& DH of course). Outside weeding the rockery this morning before the rain struck. Still struggling with little sleep, dogs restless & woke me every hour from 3.30 am..ugh.
Health: Lose approx. a stone & a half. Probs no progress. See cake making & eating above. Same old same old. More visitors, another cake. Damn them all. Better diet today but ate a few sugary things due to feeling unwell. Still eating a bit of sweet stuff as head still bad. Hopefully some sleep tonight & better tomorrow.
Meal Planning: Need to meal plan as tend to go with the flow, and it doesn't always work out. Plan for next few days so far. Tomorrow this is happening choose what. Sort of, I do know what's for the next few days. Felt too poorly to clear out fridges though. Supper was just poached eggs on toast, all I could manage to cook today. Always feel this is not a proper meal.
Moving more - More exercise taken as gardening. Todays exercise was cleaning AND gardening. Only exercise cleaning in the last 2 days. Note to self, do not have visitors round when you have 3 very large hairy dogs (and a cat) and it has been raining. Out in garden this morning, was very warm although that could be to do with me pulling weeds out of one of the many rockeries. More weed pulling but this time not sunny so easier.
Time with those you love: Visit of uncle & aunt today, great to see them & did get to discuss a bit of FH with uncle, so a bit useful as well. Visit of BF yesterday, visit of other BF & guest today. Was a hoot - and they gave me a gift card!! And an orchid, how kind. Wish all visitors would pay for their visits LOL. They also said 1. Your hair looks nice (!) and 2. Have you lost weight (absolutely not). They can come again, soon. Time with DH today until I gave up & had a nap for an hour. Then DD came after her shift & after a meal out with her team. Emailed friend in US that I haven't been in touch with for a while.

Your all right of course. I am going to stick to my normal account. I have gone through and cancelled all my subs except gaming and Spotify. At the end of the payment month in July, I am going to buy a year's gaming sub which will be much cheaper. I think Xbox gold is about £40 for the year but £74 over the year paid monthly.
I ended up spending but, bought a stew pack with some beef. Therapy was helpful so I am glad that I went.
Going to do some reading: I am trying to finish this weird book about a couple who murder. I keep willing for the man to get a backbone. Its called My lovely wife.No Spend November 2/15 and SPC 1340 -
Morning Turtles!
Weather here is carp, so I have been out and done the grocery shopping, and after lunch we are going to the pictures.
Think that is pretty much all for today. Already talked DH out of going out for lunch - I have just bought food for goodness sake! - will take our own popcorn. Big screen fun.
Although us turtles shouldn't really be stopped by rain, I am keeping dry.
Hugs to all who need them.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Morning everyone,
Sorry didn't check in yesterday, worked till 2pm then tackled a frog then drove to visit DD2 at uni and didn't get home till midnight! Horrible journey home in the wind and rain
DD1 is still in bed and so am I! Looks grey and miserable but I have put the DW on and cleaned the loo. Just planning on chores and some of my self employment work today and a bit of decluttering. Will put coat and sturdy footwear on and get some fresh air too after 6 hours in the car yesterday!
Spent money on DD2 yesterday as went for a small food shop; also bought chocs for DD1's birthday in a few weeks which were on offer in Mr M. Updated budget sheet.
Am feeling very positive about the qualification I am doing - got some comments back on latest submission so can amend it and then got one more section to do to complete second unit
All meals yesterday were from stores apart from lunch which was free at work! Took HM veg lasagne to DD2 and she added green veg to it so got my 5 a day.
Gratitudes - DD2 is happy and we had a lovely catch up; sorted some counselling for DD1; kind colleague at my self employment role.
Hope everyone has a good day and keeps dry and warm

Hi Dolly84 - sorry to hear this about work. I think you have every right to feel peeved (or angry) at the unfairness. Can you keep records of when other people are having 30 min lunch and then leaving at 4.30 so when you raise it again you have clear evidence. Sounds similar to my FT role. Good luck
Sponsorship - I understand feeling under pressure and why you would give £10 for something like that is beyond me! I wouldn't have the courage to say no but would put in a token gesture like you have.

Hi guys ,
Just a quick check in, as I am still feeling lousy.
Decreased-
Clutter- sorted through my cook books.
Increased-
Excersize- walk into town & 30mins on exercise bike.
Eating healthy- tracked what I've eaten & tried to stay away from sugar
Time with loved ones- made lunch with my 2 & 4 year old using a childrens recipe book & it was so much fun & delicious, they were very proud! Booked tickets to the cinema tomorrow to see Mary Poppins on the kids 1 pound cinema deal & then popped to Tesco for popcorn & chocolate to take with us.
Still on NSD 4 hoping to get my 5th tomorrow :money:0
