    Good Morning,

Yesterday was a spend. So am up to 3/5 not including today.

I am trying to be majorly positive but I am actually overwhelmed and stressed.

So I got paid on Tuesday, paid all my bills etc and have realised I actually don't know where my money is going at all or what bills come out of what account. I have as it stands £34 left in my account except for therapy money. I have just checked the other accounts I have and have had payments come out which I thought was sorted and has now made me overdrawn on both.

I have a decently stocked freezer and plan to plough my way through it but, I feel like I should cancel tomorrows therapy session. :(. The problem is next week is the anniversary of the final contact with my daughters and thought of not having therapy is making me stressed and overwhelmed. Everytime I feel I am making progress I get knocked back 10 paces.

((Hugs)) Indigo, might it be an idea to have all of your payments come out of one account and maybe close down the others? It would be easier to keep track. How long does the £34 have to last?

F0xh0les - does the fall mean that you are expected to go back over there and be nurse? I hope not. Ds1 really has to be your priority at the mo, with his exams. You are needed at home . (And feel free to ignore me or roll your eyes at me and wish I'd butt out)

Today things will be done. But I have the urge to play hookey! So might go on a ys hunt on the way home (the budget still has £82/£100 for the week - on a Thursday! Really I should just come home and clean something (doesn't that sound fun! not)

Well, I did a little YS hunt, got a few nice things that have gone to live in the freezer, came home, and sawed up a pallet, made a planter, potted up more cukes and tomatoes, and am feeling rather smug as nobody has been outside today, and I can put everything into its final resting place tomorrow and clean up nicely and play dumb..... What? this old thing? surely you must be mistaken! pshaw!

I am going to see about volunteering at the local f00d bank on Monday evening.

No Apple, I am not going over there until DS1 does his last exam. He is top priority. She is sore and embarrassed about having to press her 'Rescue Me!' button and spent 2 hours on the floor trying to get herself up. 10 days til exams end. She has to admit to herself she is no longer safe.

Tried to get a key for my car today, to replace the one DH lost. Cheapest so far is £100:eek: it is just a key and an open/close button. Will keep on searching.....

I did indeed make mango jelly, in my amazing trifle stand posh glass dish thing I got in a c/s a few weeks ago for £3. topped with frozen blueberries and grapes, then with yoghurt, then with blueberry and cherry pie filling, then with a bit of (non-dairy) squirty cream.

It caused a crowd to form around the fridge when we got back from school:rotfl:. Looked dead posh, like.

Indigo warrior sounds to me like the therapy is a must, if its possible. Thinking of you.

Checking I'm quickly as I'm so tired.

    Decreased-

Waste- more food items used up. Hub rescued a load of biscuits, nuts, crisps & bottles of water from an event at work - they were all going to go in the bin  BBD not until 2020 on most things - blows my mind!
    Increased-
Generosity- offered to watch my friends kids next week & bought a raffle ticket for a charity event.
Health & diet rubbish must do better tomorrow.

    NSD- still on 3.

Hugs Indigo. I really think you need the therapy session. Sometimes we can manage ourselves by retreating from the world a little and sometimes we need all the help we can get. When you're feeling overwhelmed, you need a little hand holding.

I love my new sleep machine. Part of me wants to pack it up and carry it around with me all day (but it doesn't work with my glasses so I would be stumbling around holding on to walls and groping my way around).

I am already waking up much more alert (still trying to sort the sleep pattern so it's a balance of do I want/ need more sleep and how much is the mask hurting - not yet managing a complete seal and may have tightened it too much).

Basic plan is laptop off at 10pm, reading from 10pm to midnight, put on mask and try to get to sleep. First night it wasn't happening, even though the machine is quite soothing. So I stopped and read for a short while then tried again. Last night I started off the same but dozed off without my mask and woke at 4 am. Put the mask on and slept well. Did the pills, toothbrushing and bananas at 8.30 am then had more sleep.

Already I have more movement in my left shoulder - must not have been getting enough oxygen to my muscles - and I feel taller. I know that the cumulative effect of gravity makes you 'shrink' during the day (especially when you are so overweight that you are effectively carrying an extra small person around with you all the time) and during sleep our bodies recover from this but I feel much taller and straighter. Amazing.

Still don't have a huge amount of energy but hope the mental clarity will help me prioritise. Jotted down several small tasks this morning and I think I've done them all. Not spent any money. I am using up all the ys bits I bought on Monday so nothing is wasted.

I have done some walking, not a lot but better than I was a few weeks ago. I am using a rolled up quilt to prop my ankles up during the night and added extra strapping bandages on Tuesday - was going to do that every other day but will try 1 in 3. This is an attempt to further improve my ankle injury - may see the doctor next week to see if he can suggest anything else.

Using lots of sun cream/ moisturiser and feeling the benefit. I have also issued a stern warning to DS3 about leaving pizza boxes on the floor, I caught the corner of one by the back door this morning and it spun into my path - if I hadn't been next to the sink, it would have taken me down. Once I was back on both feet, I gave the pizza boxes a good kicking (that'll teach them).

Today I am grateful that the downpour with thunder cleared away so that I could go out to do mum's shopping, grateful for my ys goodies as a base for today's scrumptious meals and for a bookface post from my dil - she and DS1 are at her parents in Greece (Volos).
My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.

  • Evening everyone!
bought a small amount of food as visiting DD2 tomorrow at uni and taking her fave veg lasagne. Also got some YS bread. Bought a top in a CS for £4.5 - well within clothing budget. Topped up with petrol for long drive tomorrow.
Had all meals from stores today including healthy avo salad; no veg consumed today.
Been to pilates tonight despite headache - glad i went! Had to pay for my course but added to budget sheet.
Been to meet a colleague to share thoughts and work on the qualification we are both doing. Was really helpful and feel quite inspired to make progress.
I am grateful for - productive afternoon with nice colleague from neighbouring organisation; inspiring pilates teacher, nice text chat with friend.
Nite everyone and see you tomorrow
