Hello
Sorry I didn't check in on day 1. What am I like? I was quite busy yesterday - had a day off work to attend a meeting with the exam board. The meeting finished an hour early and I decided that I was motivated enough to do some batch cooking - hence aiming towards reducing food waste, takeaway spends and my shopping bills. And saving me time as well as exam season kicks off.
I have a bit of distraction going on in the back of my mind as well - my ex husband has been missing since Monday night. Things have been really awful between us recently - he hasn't seen the kids for months and we aren't speaking anyway, but I am worried - he's my kids' dad. The police are keeping me updated but there's just no news at all.
Anyway I'm plodding on and have my gratitudes as always. I am grateful today for my resilient children, my supportive friends and family, and having something ready prepared for dinner when I got home from work tonight. Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control

Evening!
First NSD today - 1/16. Budget set and meals planned, too. Feeling very productive, I must say, as I also managed to storm through a whole library book. Only a quick read, as it was a YA (am an English teacher and like to keep up on them to encourage my rabble to read things they'll actually enjoy!), but it was good fun and a nice change from my usual.
Reduce: had a clear out of old CDs which are now stacked away in a box, ready to be either donated or sold. Will have a gander at the various sites that take old stuff, but I'm not holding my breath for bags full of cash! Better than nothing, though.
Said no to the cake sale at work, which was no mean feat. Walked to work, too, to get moving.
Finally, today I'm grateful for a well-stocked library, kind colleagues, and a relaxing night of no obligations.0 -
Make a budget and stick to it. I use YNAB for my budgeting so have updated it with May's budget.
Enjoy the month. Caught up with a old colleague.
Read. Didn't manage to go to the library today but downloaded an e-book.
Reduce, reduce and reduce some more. Nothing here today.
Increase, increase and increase even more. Nice walk to training.
Move it! 45 minute walk, didn't quite make 10,000 steps but a lot better than yesterday.
Post 3 gratitudes every day. Good training with lots of interesting discussion, sausage sarnie for tea, getting some exercise.
No! Took lunch to training so avoided the canteen.
Think of others. Nothing here.

Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living. It's a way of looking at life through the wrong end of the telescope. Which is what I do. And that enables you to laugh at life's realities.
So says Sr Seuss about not taking life too seriously.
Have a fantastic dayNST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -

Weight - The scales say I have lost another 3lb (6 in total) but will wait until my weigh in date (Tuesday) to confirm. I certainly feel thinner.

Make £2021 extra income - £99.750 -
Rainy day here today.
Budget : Will spend on this week's groceries today and I am 'on the shark' for a table lamp.
Enjoy: will enjoy sharking the c/s with my tiny budget. Captain Marvel and Endgame on the cards for this weekend. I want to take a trip down to Bletchley Park as well this month - I am encountering passive resistance.
Read: Finished a book yesterday, started a new one. As they will be read and then bagged for the c/s, technically I am recycling.
Reduce: taking a shake twice a day, not feeling hungry, it is not disgusting, so I will continue for a week and spend this week thinking about nice meals to make for next week when I sub their shakes for banana and frozen fruit smoothies. Still a meal replacement, but no powders and a damn sight cheaper. Using my large yogurt pots as plant pots for potting on my courgettes this morning. I did not expect 7/9 (really mothernerd !!!!!) to behave. Now they are known as the Borgettes.
Move it!! : stripped the beds and hoovered already. It counts! Running up and down stairs like a loon.
Gratitudes:
I have a list and I am ploughing through it
Motivation is still high

No! Will stock up on supermarket popcorn in readiness for excursions
NSD1 today will be food spendy, and the school have dumped another trip on me, so £12 down already. Those pesky Tudors!
