Deni - hope your work problems get better soon. How do you manage to do so many jobs?

    Hi everyone
Dolly- I started my FT job on 30 hours so kept some self employment I was doing; then my FT job increased to FT! I kept my self employment cos I liked it and then got the chance for a bit more in a different department of the same company - was supposed to be for max 18 months, 3 years later still doing it..... I took on a PT job 2 years ago as I saw an opportunity to do something more enjoyable and now I love my PT job! If I could afford it I'd just do my self employment and PT job but I can't at the moment. I manage 4 different roles by being calm and supremely organised!! Haha I wish - I am neither but I sometimes do my PT role over lunchtime and my self employment is peaks and troughs so I plan my diary accordingly and accept certain weeks are just full of work! Sorry for the long explanation!

    My update:
budget - need to budget better but I have not overspent on food; I have on fun as went to visit family and had a couple of lunches out; also a couple of nights out. Only 6 NSDs which I intend to improve upon in June :)
Enjoy the month - FT work v difficult but have enjoyed spending time with friends and family and did I mention I saw Take That:rotfl:
Read - some but probably not enough...
Reduce - food waste bin went out today and I only had 1/2 a bag! Was away for 2 days but even so... Definitely eating better from stores, wasting very little and planning meals more successfully :)
Increase/move it - been trying to go out for a walk at lunch or straight after work & have managed to get back to the gym - been 3 times over the past 10 days.
Gratitudes - good to focus on positives - my DDs bring me much joy; I have supportive friends who listen (endlessly at the moment to my work woes); I have enjoyed spending time with my family - we are not the closest (geographically or emotionally) but we are getting better; I work hard but I do make time for nice things too; Lots of culture is within reach and nice walks are not far away.
No! not spent on anything unnecessary apart from one treat of a jumper in Sains but have been looking for a white one for ages and it was £6 and within budget :)
Think of others - trying to see the good in people rather than be critical or negative

It's been really lovely being part of this thread and getting encouragement and positive thoughts from others. Thank you to apple for this month and onwards to June...

Hope everyone is well and looking forward to a happy weekend Deni xx

NSD yesterday but not today - Tesc0 and A5da spends (but did get several free/ reduced items through shopping apps) - used expiring CC voucher in Tesc0 so transferred equivalent to hol fund :)

Thankful for: small flebay sale, tcb cashout, checkout smart cashout (all going towards holiday!), finally getting the VAT return done! (We've changed accounting software, so I did it on old and new to see if I could make them agree as a double check- and they didn't at first!!!)

Thank you for this month, apple - and also for next month! :T :T xx

Thanks for this month and next apple. I fell just short of the NSD target, overspent on food although a lot of that will be used in June and was under on some others. Good progress in April and at the start of May but then I seemed to stall and struggled to get going again. Lots to work on next month.

Today I went to do mum's shopping (lots of birthday cards, small amount of food), bought myself a few bits including a meal deal as I went straight to the library to wait for mum and film club without returning to the house.
Afterwards we phoned for a taxi and went to the infirmary to get mum's bloods done (saves using up a whole chunk of one day next week), phoned for mum's taxi home and asked to be chucked out in the town centre.

Relaxing but determined to stay awake as I really want to see this evening's film and pay for a ticket for the special showing of Peterloo in August.

Today I'm grateful for a lovely flowing day where nothing took too long and lots has been ticked off, for unusual food (meant to get a triple cheese sandwich and had picked up the vegan breakfast - not disgusting but not going to be a favourite) and a good film.
My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.
