Sunday wasn't a good night either, got to sleep early but was woken by a warring couple on the car park - he was yelling shut up, shut up, shut up and she didn't. I don't know what she was yelling, it was high pitched and squeaky and went on and on. Sat perched on the side of the bed in the dark for ages, wondering whether it was going to kick off and I needed to call the police.

Eventually 3 young men in a car lit them up with their headlights and then slowly and reluctantly they got out and went across. Lad went off and I think the boys were offering the girl a lift, which she declined.

She found her bf again, I heard the same argument being repeated as they walked along the adjacent road (louder when they reached the gaps between shops). Then they came back onto the car park but not for too long this time.

Adrenaline was pumping through my veins and the music from the place across the road was loud (thought since that they must have applied for an extension because the Monday was a BH and 'no-one had to work') so read for several hours to calm down and get back to sleep mode. So fit for nothing yesterday. Went to mum's but did very little work, watched the Battle of Britain which had only just started (asked whether it was the one with the labrador as it sometimes makes me cry - the blacklab sits at the end of the runway waiting for his master's plane to come back).

Slept reasonably well last night but have decided it will be a being nice to myself day - going to make lists and think a few things through. Have just had lunch from the freezer and will take a curry and a box of sprouts to mum's for later (upping my veg atm - eaten a whole small cauli/ cabbage with most meals over the weekend and bought ys grapes yesterday).

Today I am grateful for mostly good weather (and rain to damp down the pollen), for a well made film with a lot of good actors (and full credit given to pilots of many nations who contributed to the allied success - Poles, Czechs and Canadians were mentioned in the plot but the end credits detailed many more culminating in a single Israeli ) and good food. Very very grateful to be single - why do people stay together when the relationship causes grief for the couple and everyone else.

Himself and I walked to the Health Centre today to collect my prescription. Met my lovely mad cousin on the way back. The older she gets the more eccentric she becomes. Her philosophy is "do it now". Think I need to take a leaf out of her book. Her husband had a serious health problem some year's ago just after they retired and now they really live life to the full. Love them to bits.

Ironing done, Tesco order amended for the holiday. Bought some socks. Really needed as the present ones are going into holes and I just don't have my Granny's darning skills. Lots of little things ticked off the list. Why is it when you tick one thing off you find another three to add on? Anyway lots to do tomorrow. Nothing major but I'll feel more settled when I have everything done.
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.

Nooooo! Polar bears need protecting not putting in the microwave. :rotfl:

Had quite a good day. Did mum's tax return - made one mistake, started in the wrong box. Put a note in with it so hope there are no problems. Must get my eye test booked as I keep mis-hitting when I am typing, getting one to the left of where I was aiming.

Thankful for feeling much more positive, now have two days to attack the house and sort out my life.

Yesterday I taught DS4 how to ride a bike.
Today he rode 5km, so I must have done something right.

Mothernerd, I hate it when there is shouting outside, you are never sure if the students are just hammered and happy or if they are about to kill each other. Then they all toddle off, and I am left waking up in panic if a mouse sneezes a mile away. So you have my sympathy.

NSD 13, as all my time is being taken up with being in the park with them on their bicycles, or saying 'not yet!' to taking them to the park on their bicycles. Two separate bike riding sessions today, both over an hour long.

The house is clean, the kids are happy, I am slowly heading towards a plan.

    It is enough.
