    Hi all :j

Budget: Bit more food shopping today as in a different town, but all YS & partly paid via vouchers.

Enjoy the month Out with DH on our own - a rare event - was good & he was being silly which made me laugh.

    Read Always read before sleeping.

Reduce, reduce and reduce None today

    Increase
Still to do, but have plans and goals

Move it! Lots of walking as a bit late to DHs event, had to park on very top floor of carpark exposed to the elements. He shot off whilst I was supposed to get a ticket for the car. Sadly the machine taking cards was broken (but you could download an app & pay like that - not with my phone you can't!). And no cash....scraped up enough in my purse & some in the car for one hour parking & then had to trek into town to find a cash machine, it then started raining... Finally found a cash machine & remembered I lent DD my card as she lost hers again...aargh. Finally got cash out of machine with alternative card & made the long rainy trek back, after getting some shopping to get change, as the machine doesn't give change. That was quite a bit of walking for me..

Post 3 gratitudes every day Grateful for gift from friend, fun time out with DH, DD being OK after being assaulted at work.

    No! Planned meal out today.

    Think of others
    Got DH his favourite dish.

16 NSD: Still stubbornly stuck on 10/16

    Pay to your debt/savings OK

    Plan the month: All planned.

Check in every day Here I am, hello folks

HI everyone, I've been very good this week and trying to make up for lost time, feel very positive and motivated.

thank you apple for the great quotes this month.

I am finishing perhaps on 8 NSD but I didn't really count. Next month will be better. no more excuses. A workless summer is looming and I'm really looking forward to it. I will have enough savings, I just need to be frugal.

Updated my savings totals and getting into frugal mode. Properly this time!!!

4 weeks left of teaching and I'm going to give it everything I've got (I've got a good gig this year and looking to keep it for next, as I'm freelance, but I won't know until July)

    have a great day turtles

Deni - hope your work problems get better soon. How do you manage to do so many jobs?

apple - my raspberries are the same as yours at the moment and my blueberries are growing but no sign of fruit, the strawberries have lots of flowers and fruit but none ready to pick yet. Since I put my tomato plants in the new greenhouse they have perked up tremendously.

sashanut - it's such a con that you can't get change from a car parking machine.

f0xh0les - we did our passport photos at home with a phone, it was very easy and saved quite a lot of money for 4 of us.

Went out yesterday to Bakewell, DH and the kids had lunch out and I took mine with me, took a big flask of black coffee and a little pot of milk so everyone could have some. Broke a tooth eating a cereal bar, it is quite badly broken so that will be an expense as I go to a private dentist.

I have decided to do the '100 books to read before you die' challenge with DD, we have already read quite a few and own quite a few but yesterday I picked up Bridget Jones's Diary and The Woman in White in the charity shops. I will be aiming to get most of the books from the library really but hunting some down this way will be fun.

Exciting news, our robin babies have hatched, there are 3 of them, they are tiny, fluffy and black - who knew.

    Happy Thursday Ninja Turtles!
The sun is shining, the birds are tweeting, my eyes are streaming and DS4s bed.... is.... finally .... being ....delivered!!!!! Even though I got an email on Tues telling me it was delayed, I got an email yesterday from the carrier telling me they had it and it would be delivered this morning, just when I am dropping off DS1 at extra study tuition at school. Grrr. So will drop him early and be here ready! yay!
    So excited about payday tomorrow.
Also bizarrely thrilled that tomorrow is Big Ben's 160th birthday.

Today is brought to you by the letters B.. E... and D, and the number 1 (day til payday!) and the song Rock Lobster (ooooh ahhhhh!)

Can you do this if you need a countersignature? DS3 is under 11 and needs one for every blimmin' renewal. DS1 is going from a child passport to an adult one so he has changed quite a bit from 11 - 17. Any advice gratefully received.

Yes, as you just print them and get the person to write what they need to on the back. We did this for dd's and mine.

    NSD No 17

It was my turn to wake up this morning with the sneezes and streaming eyes but that was due the the Council deciding to cut all the grass. Himself was much better and kindly picked up my prescription from the chemist. One set of tablets not available due to "production problems". Just as well I have enough to keep me going.

My last post this month so thank you, Apple for hosting. I've failed miserably with some things but I have come through with money left in the budget and cupboards full of food.

So, bags packed and ready to go. I think we're really organised food wise and we have plans to have a relaxing and healthy three weeks. Friends coming for the second week but I am determined not to end up getting stressed trying to fit in with what other people want. It's my holiday as well so I'm going to be just a little bit selfish. If they want to spend all day in the pub they can but I'm going for a walk. Some lovely fish restaurants (I love fish) so we intend to have a few meals out. Nice little Italian restaurant for a meal in Edinburgh tomorrow night.

Hope you've all had a good May and looking forward to the June challenge (still not sure about the lycra and pompoms, Apple.
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.
