Sorry to be late to the party. I was up early yesterday as I had an appointment for a repeat chest x-ray. Bought an anybus ticket as I had plans but came home after the appointment and curled up and went to sleep - it's been a very sleepy week so far, not sure if it's from doing too much at weekend or because I'm now on the 'maintaining dose of vitamin D (love the high dose).

When I finally managed to get going again, DS3 and his Beloved were out Pokemon hunting (they rarely leave the house) so went in the front room, swept out all the rubbish from round the couch (stuff I was too tired to do at weekend) making room to put the emptied shelves from my room in front of the chimney breast to replace the sideboard (gone. gone, gone).

Moved things from the floor, dusting as I went along - their fan (was previously on top of the sideboard, has been on the floor since the sideboard went, grr), tangles of wires and a multi socket bar, working my way towards the wheeled shopping trolley.

They came back, I said they could not take their shoes off until the pizza boxes and the bag of chinchilla litter had gone out to the bin (I end up trotting up and down the yard because they never have shoes on). This got done (DS3 delayed as long as possible, saying they had brought food in) and I transferred the chinchilla food and bedding from the shopper to the shelves, suggested they could also be used to rehome the dvds and other things that came out of the sideboard (also been living on the floor in a very large bag since sideboard went). If they don't do it, I will move the bag into their room.

Found containers (dalek bin, bag for life, 2 of the small takeaway bags) as Beloved wanted to sort the recycling in her (their) room. Bag for life was for washing up and small bags to squash any sweet wrappers etc. I filled a large bag for life full of her clean clothes and took it upstairs.

Have also gathered some of the rubbish from the floor (had already picked out the pots and recycling), wiped the shopper and cleared a large wooden armchair which is also going to the charity shop.

Stopped because everything was aching (both shoulders although the arthritic one hurt in lots of places). Finally got round to catching up with you lot around 2 am but even typing is difficult atm (easing now I've had painkillers and the spray).

Today I really want to part dismantle a bed so that DS3 can't complain about how heavy it is or i might be able to wrangle it myself (last resort, won't do anything utterly stupid). Want to get as many things out of the house, tidied away or in their room if I have any energy left.

Need to go voting, have done a food order for delivery today, going to mum's later (cleaner wanted to swap days again as her grandchildren are off school because their school is the polling station) but it's going to be very late. May stay over as it's mum's podiatry appointment tomorrow at 8.50 am. Don't seem to have done much at mum's this week but it's been busy and next week is worse.

Will report back later with financial plans (yesterday was spendy, today may be too) but will be doing lots of reading (nearly as necessary as eating or breathing for me), taking care to wear both my ankle supports and strap up my ankle (first week without using the walker and the men working on the town hall have most of the benches within their cordon). Also need to slap on lots of moisturiser as my skin is very dry. It may be time to switch to suncream as the sun caused eczema has made an appearance.

Today I am grateful for being able to do things (four and a half months of barely being able to walk and collapsing in a heap after the slightest activity), for getting DS3 and Beloved to do something and for being able to help people and charities with my donations.
My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.

    Budgets - set in stone

Read - will aim to finish Phil Collins - I am not dead yet book ! this month whilst I am still alive :D

Reduce - Aim to loose weight so I can use clothes in my spare wardrobe to avoid buying new ones.
Recycling trip planned tomorrow and charity bag will fill tonight as it takes books- not all do now. Sprayed wicker lampshade and heart with white spray found in garage. Not buying as much food as I used to and do bulk cooking for the freezer saves loads money, time and waste.

Increase - trying to be more sociable this month. Not feeling that sociable today still full of cold but accepted few invitations to events. Increasing healthy food intake.

    Move it

    Afternoon Turtles

Himself had an eye test today (apparently his prescription has changed quite a bit so he will need new glasses) and then he went to meet his friend. His friend was supposed to join us in Paris for a few days but took ill and couldn't come. Think he's feeling a bit down.

So today I've been on my own. Went for a little bit of a walk. Not very far but better than nothing. Bought coffee (for the coffee machine at home), some veg and ice cream (for the Boy and Himself. Honest!!!). All out of Aldi so not too expensive,

Trying hard to avoid all the bad stuff in my diet but I do find it difficult.

Dinner is all from the freezer. Still need to tidy out the big one and make an inventory but it's easier if I have Himself to help me.

Finished my book last night so need to find another from the stash for tonight.

    Grateful for:

Nice weather so I could go for a little walk.
The wee ones making me laugh
Having lots of books to chose from
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.

Make a budget NSDs 2/30 Nothing spent on day 2! I took £20 out at the cash point for my music lesson, but thats budgeted,
Enjoy the month. Do things that make you happy. Day off today, which I was really looking forward to, by bestie came round and we played some Gears of War on the xbox.
Read. I think I'm a couple of pages away from finishing book 3, so I'll crack on with that and get a few chapters into book 4 tonight. My prefered reading time is bedtime, so I'm not staring at my phone & I can relax in bed while BF does the nighttime dog walk.
Reduce. Nothing new has entered the house today, although I should be actively taking stuff out as well. I eyed up a few of my books earlier while vaccuming, I may donate some to the library, and some to the staff in work. I'll keep my favourites thou.
Increase. Music practice. 1 whole hour on the sax today! :D I have 4 pieces to play for my exam, so I broke it down to 15 minutes per piece. It means I'm not wearing myself out playing the same thing over and over (I get frustrated with my mistakes and give up). I'll play a little guitar after tea, I'm using the free version of the Youcisian app, it gives you free 10 mins lesson each day.
Move it! Took the dog for a stroll via the cash point, which is an achievement as I usually don't leave the house on my thursdays off.
    Every day gratitudes:
    1) Shooting aliens with by bestie
    2) Fishfinger sandwich for lunch, proper comfort food!
    3) BF took pity on my grumpy face and offered to cook tea.
No! to wants, to treats. I've been hungry today, but I have resisted stuffing my face. I'm a grazer and like to nibble on little and far too often. I had a protien shake instead, and will have an apple before bed.
Think of others. Does letting my bestie replenish her ammo stack before taking it all myself count? :o:D

Spend day today, but it was planned for. Picked up some dog food, worm tablets, and ran by the vets to pick up his medication. £200 spent but it is all budgeted as I have a separate account for the dog and we transfer £50.00 a month into it. Tomorrow is a planned NSD as I'm working from home, and do not plan on leaving the house.

Took packed lunch to work today, pasta salad, fruit salad and boiled eggs. Still have one boiled egg left, so will have that for tomorrow's lunch/snack.

    Today I'm grateful for:

The willpower to walk today, in the pouring rain! Two days on the trot!
    Google, for inspiring dinner tonight
My bath, which I plan on utilising tonight to relax.

Didn't dismantle the bed - DS3 was in it. Did clear more rubbish whilst waiting for the food to arrive. Lots into the recycling bin.

Last night I wrote down lots of different ways of decluttering/ tidying (were supposed to be 5 minute ones but they weren't all). Some I've used before, some new ideas and some a variation but good to remind myself and have tried several today.
    Examples
By the dozen -find 12 things to donate, 12 to throw away, 12 to put away
Big bin bag - fill with rubbish/ recycling/ donations and keep going until it's full
Clear one worktop/ or shelf/ or drawer (donate/ throw out/ relocate/ put back only the things that should be in that drawer.
Visualise how you want the room to be - which furniture is essential, what belongs in a different room (that ones been very helpful recently), look at the stuff on the floor (unless it's a rug it shouldn't be there)
Going to walk to little Arseda and put the 15 yo bedding in the Sally Army bin. Put a couple of things outside under the garden table but well wrapped so they could be reclaimed if I decide to do things differently (butthey will be outside rather than under the kitchen table - sorry but there was nowhere else for them to go)

Another 2 cube boxes have been slotted into the cube shelves. Bits of the bathroom have been cleaned. My clothes have been put away in the drawers.

Will gather all my bags for life and start bagging stuff which does not belong in a particular room (or in my house). Things for charity shop lined up by the front door.

Budgets set to same as last month but need to try to judge travel better (lots of appointments). Any reductions are going to come slowly.

Today I am grateful for more ideas on how to declutter with limited energy, for the weather being pleasant but not oppressive (I am smothered in factor 50) and for the turtles, old and new.
My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.

Enjoy the month. Looking at some possible activities for half term.
    Read. Started one last night.
Reduce, reduce and reduce some more. Used up some freezer bits for dinner
Increase, increase and increase even more. Looking at ways to make budgets go further.
Move it! Repeat of yesterday. Pottered about at home after a very busy shift at work (short staffed).
    Every day,
    Grateful for:
    food from freezer
finding the bottom of the laundry basket
