LOL no although it would have been a fun story to tell in 18 years time ;) This was oooooo way back... *tries to work out HOW long ago... hmmmm must be best part or 8 years ago*

No the Bean was very planned and involved little or no alcohol (depending on which evening Bean was infact concieved ;) )

Ahhhh my younger and carefree days of single life and many evenings of excess :) Was always a winner though! Loads of flavoured vodka's and twister! Order Domino's pizza around 11 and jobs a gud'un :)

Actually as we really like apple sours in our house I might try and find a sweetie that is as sour and make some vodka with it... any ideas peeps? And will give the lemon sherbets a go too :) mmmmmmmmmmmm lemon sherbets! Might have to buy two packs - one for me and one for the vodka lol

I made Haribo tangfastics vodka last year for a hamper for my friend. If you chop the sweets up first then stand the bottle in hot water and give it a shake every so often it'll be ready in a few hours. I made it a week before Xmas and it was all drank by new year. Jelly sweet based vodkas are fine if their going to be drank quite soon after making them but if your leaving it for a while it does start to solidify. Popping it back in hot water the night before you want it would help though. Last Xmas we gave as gifts the haribo one, werthers originals, mint humbugs, blackcurrant & liquorice and rosy apples. All were well received!

  • My lemon sherbet vodka is absolutely fantastic and I will be doing more of this one -

What ratio/how much of each of Lemon Sherbets and Vodka are you using?

I'm just thinking in some nice bottles (with home made printed lables) these could make some brilliant Christmas presents!

Tell you what guys, I'm going to merge this thread with the other one as it should have all the answers on it for 'flavoured voddie virgins' ;);)

Edit: And here's a link to a longer thread on the same subject - Toffee Vodka.......Help Please!

I just got to try this for my sis in law. When should I make it for it to be ready for christmas?

For toffee vodka should I put a lable on telling her to freeze for an hour before enjoying?
  • Hi Jonny, I used a small bottle of wine (ones that hold a large glass), about 6-8 lemon sherbets, broke them up into small pieces, put them in the bottle and filled it with voddie, kept shaking it occasionally and hey presto!

I'm doing some more to put in xmas hampers. SIL has asked for chocolate lime vodka...

The problem is to get the bottles I have to keep drinking the wine out of them! hic hic:beer:

how about weirds - they are like nerds used to be a few years ago. I work in a newsagents so am racking my brain - sour wine gums? though I read that someone had problems with cola bottles almost setting... starbursts! they'd be good. hmm, will go scour the shop tomorrow for ideas, teehee. great thread! :D
