Yesterday was NSD #2 and as I am working from home today, I should manage #3 today.

My bank has now caught up with my transactions of the weekend and so YNAB is also now up to date. It's looking healthy for now however I have a busy month, with quite a few visitors so I suspect my 'Nights Out' category may have to be a bit fluid.

I also need to buy a coat/jacket, as my last formal one tore beyond repair. I'll need to take some time to check over the net and bag myself a bargain.

My laptop is playing silly beggars again and I couldnt't post last night so this is my update from yesterday.

    Waste

Food - Having to admit defeat with half a small pot of Aldee double cream that I have been using up since it went OOD in Feb and has now began to turn :( Still eating Sunday's chocolate pudding :EasterBun
Plastics - recycled everything I could. Did a silly thing this morning and put the 2 apples I bought in a little plastic bag without thinking. Was only when I packed them I thought I didn't need to use one. DH brought me a lovely water bottle home yesterday that was left by a former employee and was going to be binned when they were doing a clear out.
Money - No money wasted and used some of my lunch allowance to buy fruit and cheese for home as took some items from home for lunch
Utilities - haven't boosted the heating when WFH

    Invest in Yourself

Happy - checking YNAB and it matching the bank and cash balance, seeing all the green categories/pots :o
Steps Forward - Sticking to budget, eating proper meals

New Skill - not started yoga practice yet 0/20

    Needs not Wants

Gratitudes - 1) Having a well paid job (majorly frustrated with my employer at the minute so having to remind myself that I love what I do and earn a decent salary), 2) Being offered a discounted ticket for an event with friends I don't usually socialise with without the kids 3) The support on my DF diary around pensions cos I'm such a noob at it

Planned Expenditure - Still under budget for this week's food budget (a minor miracle :D), no other spends so far

    Simplicity

Routines - Will do 45 minutes housework today, trying to get into a routine of little and often/everyday
Simplify your Stuff - Nothing added to charity or tip pile
    Make Space - no progress
Cut out noise - nothing to add for yesterday

    NSDs - 1/12 - got one! :j
DFD - Feb 2022, aiming for Dec 2021 - another payment made today off debt :money:
Budget - done in YNAB and all up to date :money:
    Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%
    Pay off £7000 - £1743 - 19.4%
    Make £2021 extra income - £99.75

Yesterday was pretty much wasted. Had a phone call from mum which she ended by saying "You're wrong" and putting the phone down on me. Did little bits, but a lot of seething and working out how much of today I would waste sorting out the latest 'catastrophe'.

Very little sleep but dozed off after morning pills and woke at 9.14 am. Quick wash and got dressed, then a taxi to the doctor's. Full house as he had a student nurse and someone who will be working in the walk-in centre with him, so everyone got to practice on me. Listed all my symptoms and duration of bug/ succession of bugs and was swabbed, sent to the vampires for bloods and to x-ray for chest. Given anti-biotics and warned that if I get any worse, I'm going to hospital :eek::eek:

Came out of the doctor's at 11.15am. Was very bad and wwent to the little cafe for 2 bacon barms, hot chocolate and a baguette for lunch. Had drunk my water before I went in the doctor's and drank the diet coke with the barms, saving the hot chocolate for after the blood tests - shouldn't have it but it was also just what I needed.

!2.15 after blood tests (my ticket was 71 and they were up to 53) and 1.30pm after the x-ray. Went to get mine and mum's prescription (she was about due for more but has run out because she has done it wrong - wish me luck on explaining that one to her). Trailed through January thread (lost time yesterday) to make sure I had my dates right, found what I needed on page 16 but continued and jotted down all the things I should have done but haven't yet.

My pills were not available, could order them or take them elsewhere so will be ready after 5pm tomorrow (probably pick up on Friday). Phoned for a taxi to take me home, ordered another which is due soon, to take me to meet mum at the dentist. Half an hour on the bed to take some painkillers and a drink.

    Later turtles.
My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.

A little progress each day adds up to big results

A timely reminder, Apple. I will not beat myself up if I don't achieve everything I want to do all at once. Slow and sure gets you there!

Mothernerd Please take care of yourself. You do so much for everybody else.

    NSD 3/15

    Waste management
    Food

No waste today. Himself is out and had lunch from freezer before he went and is having something else from there for dinner. All my meals are coming from fridge and store cupboard. Have made four lots of lentil soup for the Boy which he takes to work for lunch. He's quite capable of doing it himself but he says mine is much better. Personally I think he's just saying that so I'll do it for him.

    Recycling
Tidied out my wardrobe a found a brand new pair of shoes that I'll never wear because they are too uncomfortable. In the bag for the charity shop along with some never worn tee shirts belonging to Himself. He doesn't like the colour! Thank for the advice about the glasses, F0xh0les. There's a branch locally. I haven't been able to find anywhere locally to take the foreign coins but I think that the bureau de change at M & S in town might so I'll check that out.

    Utilities
Keeping an eye on the usage.

    Money
Not spent anything today. Sorted out all the spare change I found upstairs. I'll use it up somehow.

    Invest in yourself
Had a day to myself today. I enjoy that now and again.

    Needs not wants
Having tidied out my clothes I really need absolutely nothing new to wear. Although some of them might looks better is I lost a few pounds.

    Simplicity
Did quite a lot of things today. Not as much as I planned but getting there slowly.
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.

    NSD today - 5/20.
Walked to and from station this morning. Did not go through park first thing as it was too dark, so went another safer route, but walked through park on way back. Went into London - free event.
Still need to do a bit of a tidy up before bedtime.
Did self care and some cross stitch and reading. Had a lovely bath.
    Used what I had in.
Someone who I used to work with many years ago made contact through social media, which was nice.

    Evening Turtles.
:T Go us, being mentioned in the email :T
Another nsd today - self care is going as well as it can but I seem to have completely lost the plot at work. I can hardly bear being there at the minute and I have no patience with anything of anyone. I'm fine at home but work is awful. I can't put my finger on anything in particular but it's like death by ten million paper cuts...
Home is fine - all quiet mostly, which is what I like.
I am desperate for a good night of sleep, which is becoming a bit of a problem and not helping my mood. It's not for lack of trying that's for sure.
Little PAD done as well. Small steps.
Oh, and I found 50p on my classroom floor at the end of the day :D

Sounds very restrained to me! The threat of one of those places would probably land me head first in a sherry trifle and I'd only surface for the promise of a doughnut, a G&T, and then the hot chocolate. :rotfl:
Get well soon mothernerd, and make sure you tell your housemates what the Dr said, and try and make sure they hear you. That goes for grandmothernerd too.

Hugs, get lots of rest, and drink lots too.

The puddles of space that I am clearing have suddenly all merged, I have a pile of bits to take to the recycling centre tomorrow after the school run, and none of them are going in the landfill skip. The mess and clutter has parted in yet another room. I can see the progress I am making. I am asking myself why it has taken this long, when I have made such a huge difference in such a short amount of time. I am just getting on with it. My own personal March WIN, taking me toward where I want to be,

Today I am grateful for more daylight, for buds starting to appear, for the glorious magnolia trees doing their thang, for easy food, for our builder friend and dh getting together to talk about the fence, for having my world book day costume all sorted for tomorrow, for not having spent much in march...thus far, for ibugel and physiocrem.
