No I’m not worried they are after my money, I’m just annoyed why they won’t let me have the money in my bank which I’m entitled to even if I did sell something, it’s not like I’m a drug baron or something!0

The bank need to find this out for themselves, they won't take your word for it. Also the person who bought your watch "may" be a drugs baron. Their checks will take time, if everything is above board you will get your money and all will be well.0 -

If the money is legit then just sit tight and wait for the money to be released.0 -
When Lloyds resolve the issue do a switch to another bank and get the switching bonus.
You won't be able to use the switch service in this situation. Lloyds switching team rejects the switch where there are blocks on the account (and the blocks will remain until the account is closed, as per the letter). Lloyds have already decided to close all accounts with LBG in 2 months.0 -
So the investigation should be resolved in that time frame and then I can have my money?0

Just as an aside, you appear to have an excellent postal service where you live, I don't think anyone else in the UK receives letters on January 1st;)0 -
It’s hard to sit tight with no access to any funds, they obviously don’t know how it effects innocent people. Im going to ring the number on the letter, financial ombudsman wasn’t much help earlier when I rang them. They just all seem to be very lazy!0

What if the guy who I sold the watch to has disputed the transaction for some reason? I find it strange that he doesn’t answer my phone calls now or messages... Where do I stand if that’s the case?0
