I'm on NSD number 6 today, plan is to deliver some leaflets and go for a run, maybe have a nice hot bath! The weather is really making it difficult to want to do anything outside but I have made it out ever day. Take care everyone!0

Toni'sFriend - enjoy your trip.
raphael - Happy Birthday for yesterday. Very sorry to hear about your colleagues having so much bad luck.
DS's birthday today, he is really happy with the presents we got for him, he got cash from grandparents to add to his savings for a gaming pc.
Have cycled this morning, it was much milder than yesterday and I was boiling, had to strip my headgear and coat off part way round then immediately felt cold.
My vegan pizza would have been a success last night had it not stuck to the stupid pizza stone, everything sticks to it so I've got rid of it. I have 3 portions of pizza dough in the freezer to try again later.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Wow everyone is doing so well.
I'm getting on well with the exercise and chill out ones.. not so good on the food audit and NSDs!
So in the spirit of this challenge (and also prompted by the Frugalwoods email) today I made a meal plan for the week based on what's in the fridge (esp the things that need eating first) and looked up a recipe to use all the quinoa I know is at the back of the cupboard...I am no good at cooking it, always ends up mushy! Will aim to finish the rest of the cupboards this week, and exploit the spice rack. Hopefully means Ill get a few NSDs in too as my main outgoing is food, and I'm guilty of multiple weekday 'top up' shops...:(
Things I am grateful for:
A book I forgot was on automatic relist finally selling on eBay (lucky I was being lazy with frogs as its in my charity shop pile!)
Birthday weekend meaning that I havent spent too much money but done some socialising
Helping rehome 300-400 'end of lay' freerange hens yesterday and knowing some of them will be running about in a forest right now (one lady who took 100 has woodland on her land, with electric fence round)
Wishing everyone a lovely rest of weekend - starting to ache from the yoga (and probably the birthday alcohol) but I'm determined to get my session in later!0 -
Raphael - just seen it was your birthday too yesterday! Happy Birthday - snap!0

Just a quick update, great to see everyone doing so well
Runs this week are up to 5 and a long walk on another day so pretty pleased with that. Have put on some weight since Xmas, but this is about feeling strong rather than being a particular weight. Have started Dry January and done a TT every day except today as the totals were already rounded down to the nearest tenner.
Things I am so grateful for:
Health and positive wellbeing of my kids
Feeling cautiously optimistic about 2019...I will beat this debt, I will
My wood burner.
Have a good Sunday all

Tried to post earlier but it was eaten!
Good news: managed an NSD yesterday, budget all planned out and I've finished off the housework.
Bad news: the oven has gone kaput . It was here when we bought the house, so technically free, and DH had mended it once before. This time there was no obvious fault so a new oven it is. Thankfully I had the funds in my house pot to cover, but I do resent having to spend it!
This also means rejigging the 2019 budget. Plan A was to divert the CC payment to the mortgage once the card is paid off, but we now have very little in savings. So Plan B is to save to the house and EF pots before upping the OP. I'm a bit sulky about this, as mortgage OPs seem much more shiny and exciting than building up an EF. Sigh.0 -
Evening all :coffee: :hello:
Belated happy birthdays to Raph, 364ab and dolly's ds :bdaycake:
I know that I have been exceptionally lucky to get 2 full weeks off work, but I am starting to get the dreads about going back tomorrow. I'll be fine once I get into it though, and it's a reasonably short term.
Small savings are done for the day, and I've done the housework as well.
Swallowed a couple of frogs so I'm pleased with that - quite a bit of our holiday stuff is ready now with a few weeks to spareNow I need to make sure that my school stuff is ready for tomorrow and that'll be enough frogs for today.
Thanks for the advice re the pressure cooker manual mothernerd - I have found it and am trying to psyche myself up to actually using it soonish. It's on the frog list still.
My gratitudes for today:
My mam and stepdad, who we've been to visit.
Free box sets on iPlayer
Being able to borrow a lot of stuff for our holiday.
Speaking of holiday - enjoy your time away Toni'sfriend :wave:Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control

364ab - Happy Birthday. Great news about the hens.
Have taken the dog for a long walk with DH, washed the hallway and kitchen floors (well DH has), made chickpea curry for tea tomorrow, DH has done burgers for tea tonight at DS's request.
DD has done her charity shop shift and bought me a present for next Christmas - taught her well. She also picked up a couple of bargains for herself. The shop has had so many donations they can't take anymore.
NSD number 3 today.
Also received an ebay refund into my paypal account, glad I swallowed that frog and told the seller I wasn't happy.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Evening all,
Just checking in to claim a NSD, nothing spent at all, so 2/10 now
Grateful today for:
Nice weather which made it possible to do some work in the garden
Tasty meals made entirely from stores
The wood stove, which is alight now the temperature has dropped, ensuring nice warm toes and 'free' tea once the kettle on top comes to the boil0
