Foxh0les- sorry about DSs bill. DH used to be a nightmare for being a "Shark". I remember the unexpected bills well.

    NSD- today is 4/20.
Plans/ excersize - weve been to our local nature reserve & we took the boys bikes. We had a fab time & it did us good to venture outside. We've also been decorating biscuits & cupcakes. Theres some baking bits in my "use up"box so it's used some of those & the kids had fun. :j
    Debts & savings paid.
Frogs- need to list some things to sell on line, this is on my to do list.

Chill out- catching up on bake off :o
Help others- donated to charity shop.

Sort it out- left over chicken going into a pie for dinner tonight. We also melted down the left over wax from some yankee candles & made a smaller one :D
Gratitudes- grateful for- our local nature reserve & the volounteers that make it what it is. For my new ginger bread recipe & for weekends with no plans :D
  • At your ds2 f0xh0les. I'm with Dolly - my kids would be paying every single penny of that back. I think I would be asking the phone people not to allow him to go over allowances as well because they can block that.
Also, I have to confess to being an aubergine hater. There, I said it.
Today has been fraught with small challenges. A pile of cat sick on the floor, a spilt litter tray AND a s0dding puncture on the car.
Thankfully got the puncture repaired for £11, which scuppered my nsd for today but I could hardly leave it as I was on my way to tutoring and I need my car for work etc. :(
Have crossed 2 more jobs off the frog list and am just planning what to do for the rest off the day.
I will check back in later with my gratitudes and a progress report.

Ccl - I would say that you can reclaim your nsd as mending a puncture is an emercency repair expense!

Does my washing machine repair count as one of those? ;):D

NSD scuppered here by OH nipping out to DIY shop to get a clip for the under kitchen cupboards plinth - apparently he broke one yesterday. As he is spending anyway, I've asked him to nip to Icyland to pick up one of their huuuuuge bags of pasta for DS1 - I wanted to buy it when we were in there last week but OH said not to and that we'd be back in there before the students went... we haven't been back and have no plans to except for this bloomin' pasta!! :D

Not much happening here- seem to have spent 80% of my time in the kitchen today! Back later when I know what the spends are :)
    xx

ccl - what a day, glad you got sorted fairly cheaply though.

Lazy day today, nipped out to the local tip where they have one of those recyling shops, we got a brand new reinforced steel bike lock for £5 and a pyrex measuring jug for 50p. I am way too pleased about that jug.

Yesterday I made hummus and noticed that the plastic has cracked off my food processer blades, I'm not sure when it happened but I think it will be harbouring bacteria so I called into Sainsburys and they had a mini chopper with metal blades for £9.99 so I got one, it's only tiny but I just use for bean dips and energy balls so it should be fine. I also got some veggie sausages whilst they were half price and some seeds but these both come from the grocery budget.

f0xh0les well done on mortgage balance.

Is it possible to cap your DS phone usage?
I have with my DCs just incase they forget to switch off data when wifi is available.

    My first update of 2019

    Spend free days (NSD’s) - currently 3/15
Make plans for the month – trying to arrange get togethers with friends but they will be low spend events
Always pay your debts first – budget set for the month, still to pay some bills
List your frogs – I tend to end up with lists of lists so will look to improve this
Little savings – printed out the 1p saving challenge
Chill out – will see how this goes when things return to normal next week
Helping others – have a monthly dd to a charity and will be donating goods to cs
Always be grateful – time with family, daft cats, friendly neighbours
New to You – have plenty of craft materials, puzzle books and stationery so no need to purchase any before I get through my stash
Get involved – am reading everyday but not great at posting
Exercise - – will see how this goes when things return to normal next week
Sort it out – going through the cupboards, fridge and freezer to find stuff to use up for meals
Groceries: Personal Spend: 0 NST NSD Goals for 2025:Self: Health: Wealth :
