    Hi all:j

NSDs – Aiming for 10 as am going away on 22nd for a few days (Christmas treat) : still 1 / 10

Make plans for the month – Planned visit to Barcelona later in the month. Rail ticket & plane already paid for. DH sat down with me & planned a few trips, not sure which if any to be taken this month, watch this space. No more plans as yet

Always pay your debts first – No debts but do use a cc which is paid in full every month...need to rein this in, spending has been frightful of late..CC paid off in full, now need to make sure it doesn't rack up to those levels this month. Little more on cc today, will keep an eye on it.

List your frogs – Need to do this, although dealt with a massive frog which was working out the amount taken out of business ac as it had to be paid back in order not to incur a lot of tax. Took me ages & was very shocked at amount needing to be repaid...will take this in hand as of NOW. OK took some time today & listed a fair few frogs at long last. Actually dealt with a small one, many more to come..

Little Savings – Put in a £2 coin that I had in my change the other day, will get cash out & pay in to bank. Joined 1p challenge..

Chill out – working on this. Was able to go out into garden this afternoon, I always feel better outside. Finally cleared greenhouse of dead tomato plants...

Helping others – Regular shift in CS.

Always be grateful – Grateful for today:

    - DD going to her own home at last

    - making a start on frogs

    - easy food from stores/leftovers

    - migraine meds

New to You – Have more than enough of pretty much everything clothes wise etc but still looking online, forced self not to purchase. Will need printer ink soon as all run out. Will be shopping tomorrow but don't need much. Done food shopping but still will be going to the big store tomorrow with DD....do not intend to buy .. OK did buy so no NSD again today. However, DD wants a sofa bed so offered her the one in the sunroom...if it works will get more space & she gets a free item win-win.

Get involved Late but here! Again.

Exercise Lots of walking round enormous shop - not helped by having to retrace steps several times as missed something the first time round. Enough exercise for me. Dealt with dog again, this will be an ongoing project. Plus more garden tidy up.

Sort it out – Need to do this & will be eating from stuffed freezers & cupboards for January. Will need fresh food milk & animal food, but that should be it. Got fresh food & animal food for this week at least. Its on the frog list! Need to do kitchen first as engineer coming to service cooker on Tuesday (I think, it's been rearranged several times & not by me).

    GO Turtles!!!!
New start JAN15 - NOT BUYING IT 2015 . Long haul DFW #145 : 2011 DEBTBUSTING : £5500 OD GONE, £2000 OD - GONE £93,610.30 cc & loan debt - GONE 27.6.14 FINALLY DEBT & MORTGAGE FREE :happyhear
  • Sorry, summary for Wednesday and Thursday as back to work and falling in to the busy evening routine again. Wed was definitely a spendy day as we paid a lump off the mortgage seeing as it's a new calendar year, took advantage and got some food, petrol and online stuff ordered as well. Thursday was even better than a NSD, completed a frog and cashed in our cans so finished +£6 and now on NSD 2. Went to pilates on Wednesday for the first time in ages and chipping away at the frog list and using up food. Things are busy but going well!

  • Morning Turtles,

    Yesterday was NSD 1/17!

    Grateful for
    - My comfy work clothes
    - An enjoyable game of football last night
    - My powerful shower
    - My new t-shirt which I'm showcasing today

My list of frogs is growing rapidly, which I don't mind. In fact I'm loving it. I really enjoy remembering to do that tiny little thing that I forgot or have been putting off. I'll enjoy it even more when I tick it off the list. Here's to an awesome January!

Lavender - crikey that sounds awful, hope you are through the worst of it now. I had Strep Throat a few years ago and my tonsils were horrific, I seem to remember gargling with warm salt water to ease them.

I knew working Wednesday instead of today was a good idea, it just didn't feel like it on Tuesday. Got paid today but only a very small amount as I've hardly worked this last two weeks, anyway it's better than nothing and has been moved into our house renovation pot.

Taking the kids out today, I will be taking my own lunch and a flask of coffee but the kids like to get a sandwich meal deal, we've not spent much on this type of thing over the holidays so I'm ok with that. I have a few things on my list to be looking out for in the charity shops but clothes and shoes will not be coming home with me.

    Good morning everyone

Today is NSD #3/20 hoping not to spend all week but let's see how on board hub is with that :rotfl:
Make plans- I am going to do something with the kids tomorrow but it need to be free & the weather doesn't look amazing so I will need to get my thinking cap on!
    Always pay debts/savings first. Done.
Frogs- did another yesterday. On todays list is to take the sleeves up on an old top.
Little savings- my lovely Mum has been collecting 2ps for my boys.
Chill out- having a brew in bed :o
Helping others- donating stuff to CS.
Be greatful- for my hub, who is just in general a real support & who puts up with my crazy schemes :p. For my 3 year old (almost 4) being dry at night, FINALLY. And for my fluffy bedding :o
New to you- agreed to buy a bed from my friend for my LO. My youngest is in an awful cot bed, & so he is getting his brothers single & my eldest is getting this cabin bed. We can't really afford it but he does need one & its a really good solid bed. She advertised it on line for 450 but said I could have it for 100 & its a much better bed than anything I could have afforded new. Plus its loads of storage underneath that sort of wheels out.
    Get involved- hi!
    Excersize- run later.
Sort it out- still working through my box :D

    Hi guys
I’ve managed 3 NSDs so far which I’m quite proud of.
I haven’t started my list of frogs yet.
I’ve done an extra hours work today and am working an extra day next week so I’m going to have a lazy afternoon.
My job is quite active so I’m going to class that as my excercise today as it was non stop today.
I rehomed a bag of chocolate pennies to our local food bank yesterday. All leftover goodies were being passed on by our SW consultant.
I’m grateful for it being payday, for having lost weight this week and for the offer of overtime next week which will help with my credit card bill.
    Keep well guys
    Cuddles

    Evening all

Hit 12k steps which included another 6k run. Really trying to make exercise a habit rather than an isolated event interspersed by long intervals of inactivity...

Have done a TT and some YNAB sorting.

    Have a good evening all
