Hi. #56 here
Reporting an October overpayment of £1,281.27
Managed £500 in addition to my usual payment this month
Believe this is the month where I can move £9,250 over to my mortgage (you may remember that I can only OP once a year - I have paid £9,500 and been saving to do the rest!)
Next challenge is to save up for next year. It’s so addictive watching a pot growMortgages Oct 2020: £308,283 Jul 2021 £286,600 October 2022 £253,456 MFW-22 #9 MFIT-T6 #350 -
HI! no 143 here!
back from hols (and totally frozen!) and its time for an update....
AUGUST managed to OP £1000
SEPTEMBER managed to OP £2000
My mortgage is now sitting at £17,000, with total overpayments now sitting at £23,000 year to date.
I don't think i'll manage to clear the whole balance before the end of the year, especially after such a massive spendy holiday! but hopefully maybe get it down to £9,999 for the new yearYOLO!
If we do manage that, I have a new target of March 2020 to clear the mortgage. this is a full 12 years to the day earlier than redemption and I'll become Mortgage free whilst i am still 35Mortgage debt : -£17,000

#65 here
Reporting an overpayment of £47.29 to round it down nicely to £95,500. I have car repairs and residentials to pay this month. Every little helps.
Daily interest now under £2.85 just, by a smidgeon. Which is £2 a day less than last month?????? - don't know if we have hit a 'recalculation figure' or if they have just sodded it up this month. Hoping to be able to salvage a little more this month, but half term cometh......
Dobbibill - love your tidying, how neat your accounts must all look.
OS QS - congratulations on being in the teens, fingers crossed for single (first) figures for the New Year. It must be so exciting when you can actually see the numbers going down so quickly.
I am getting excited already, I will get my annual mortgage statement at the end of December - the look on dh's face when he sees the pages of all the tiddly little o/p amounts I make, and then he sees how it all adds up, is an absolute picture. He still thinks I am a nutter though:rotfl:.
