#43 £2000 overpayment made today and I'm going to declare myself mortgage free but technically I'm not. I have left £50 on as we would have to pay a whopping £3800 penalty if we clear mortgage before 1/3/2022. We have cleared the mortgage 8 years and 7 months early so feeling pretty chuffed.thanks to everyone on here, you have all been inspirational and supportive with your comments. I wish you all the best on your journeys no matter where you are with it. Xx

  • I just had a very exciting letter through the post - Mr tax Man owes me a refund :j

So that, combined with some money back from an old internet provider makes a cheeky last minute OP in Sep of £149.59 and a total for Sep of £262.4

Super chuffed with this, I have to admit to keeping £100 back for me to have fun with :p

Wow!!! Well done Utopiah!!!!! :T:T:T. Such amazing news, i cant imagine your relief, just seeing £50 on your statement must be amazing. Huge congratulations :p.

#14 with an OP of £100 this month, not a patch on what it should be; but we've had car tax to pay for, and our Orlando holiday is coming up so trying to squirrell as much away as i can, im sure you all understand visiting the mouse isnt cheap .

I have managed to increase my days at work from 2020 so ill be about £400pm better off, hopefully most of this can the thrown towards mortgage. We're so near to the 80's now, its a hard old slog :(.

Best of luck to others, keep pushing. Thanks as ever to you Julicorn :heart2: xxx
