I love the way you are looking at that - my interest only mortgage payment was rounded up to the next hundred when we started overpaying (paying down the capital) and it was about an £80 monthly capital payment. Up to and including this month that has increased and the interest element decreased so that now the interest part is under £20 a month and the capital over £480Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)
OS Grocery Challenge in 2025 I am at £1286.68/£3000 or 42.89% of my annual spend so far

Hi, number 28 here.
September's overpayment is £380.41
Hopefully that puts me back on track rather than slightly behind, fortunately lots of overtime this month.
Thank you.

#43 £2000 overpayment made today and I'm going to declare myself mortgage free but technically I'm not. I have left £50 on as we would have to pay a whopping £3800 penalty if we clear mortgage before 1/3/2022. We have cleared the mortgage 8 years and 7 months early so feeling pretty chuffed.thanks to everyone on here, you have all been inspirational and supportive with your comments. I wish you all the best on your journeys no matter where you are with it. XxMortgage free 25/9/2019 8years and 7 months early 😁😁😁0
