Congratulations for hitting your target. :) Would you like me to increase it for the remaining months?

No thanks, not at the moment - just had the car serviced and it needs some significant work which will hit our ability to overpay for a few months :(

  • #56 here - £781.27 overpayment for July made. So close to my target now
May need to take an OP break next month. I have had my hallway painted (£300) I want a new front door & bi-fold doors in the lounge.

In order to fund this I have cancelled my desires for a family holiday abroad - doors will last longer won’t they...

Have also been doing some sums - our mortgage was 308k when we took out a 10 year fix in 2013. When it runs out I’m expecting us to owe < 150k - and hoping that will clear faster as the % interest should be lower as we pay more and more off?

Happy weekend everyone :D. Love seeing all the OP's, this group is amazing :T

#14 with OP of £200 please Julicorn, total of £300 for the month so far.

At £96,160.77 now.... so i obviously HAVE to find another £160.78 by the 31st :rotfl: - should be doable. Will be nice to be in the 95's. I'm sure others are this particular, lol.

Thanks Julicorn for all your effort & hard work  xxx

    #45 checking in Julicorn.

I'm back with my mid-month update.

We had a cheeky overpayment to round down at the beginning of the month, have my usual SO OP set to leave in the morning £63.11 so including that in this post ready, today I have made my usual extra OP £135 and finally got my credit balance refund from my energy company when I ditched/switched so have rounded that up to £300. Total July payments £518.73 :j :j

    Jan - June £1197.61
    July £518.73

    YTD - £1716.34

    Thank you Julicorn :D

  • Good afternoon all

    Lovely and sunny here.

I've gone into my savings again as I've set myself a plan which hopefully clears my mortgage by January 2025 - this will be 11 years early. It is very challenging, but I'm going to be really frugal.

Mid month update for me #81 An extra £485 which makes £2044.43 for the month Definitely last payment until August. Thanks Julicorn :)
