Xspender - Hope things work out for you.

Toni'sFriendHere's the recipe for the Hot Chilli Bean soup;
1 chopped onion, approx 8oz of carrots and 8oz potatoes both diced, 1/4 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp cumin, 1 tsp chilli powder, 1 tin tomatoes, 1 tin kidney beans, tablespoon tomato pur!e, teaspoon sugar, salt and pepper, stock - I don't measure this. Simmer for an hour. I process half the soup then mix together. Really tasty and warming in this cold weather.Debt free - Mortgage free - Work free ( in that order)

A SFD for me - slight cheat because I had to go and buy another load of ingredients/ bits mum needs for cake making and I decided that if most of the next 3 days is devoted to cakemaking, the least she can do is feed me.
Starting to come round now and think I know what day it is - probably will be worse than ever after tomorrow beacause I will be places I normally wouldn't be and not where I'm used to being.
Rough plan is to go to the foodbank (DS3 and Beloved were throwing out a huge bag of sugar free lollies), go to mum's at some point (will also be making cakes at home), quick trip to Morries as I need an all day ticket anyway, get into Manchester early, have a quick tour of the Christmas market, maybe get to see more of the gallery exhibition, then to the restaurant by 6pm.
If possible I might try to squeeze in the crematorium visit but that may be a step too far. I need to make mum a GP appointment - she's spoken to him on the phone but he wants to see her. Need to pack some things I am taking for DS1 and his wife and sort out my handbag - hae been taking stuff out of the bag I had at weekend and back into the 'normal' but need some switching back.
Tomorrow's main course is likely to cost about £28 + 10% so it's a good job there is still some slack in my budget. At least there are cooked options. Good that it isn't a regular activity either.
Today I am grateful for being less dizzy and more mobile, for bin collections (refilling with stored stuff) and the library. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -
XSpender - Sorry to hear about your job.
mothernerd GlendaSugarbean Toni'sfriend - Thank you. I am playing free online bingo which I enjoy. Am not tempted to buy the add ons. Win no money, but special coins to get the cards amongst other things. At least I can play it whilst chilling out. Stopped playing another game as I was getting to stressed over it.
NSD today -14/20.
Went for my usual lap walking around the park.
Was really lovely hearing the birds singing. Love see the swans, geese and ducks. Love it when the geese fly over. When I heard them in the flat my Mum always said there goes your friends.
Took a couple of electrical items to the recycling centre.
Done a few other household chores.
Saw an elderly neighbour when going out and she asked me to put some wrong mail that was put into her mailbox into the correct mailbox.
Selfcare.
Did a list as to what I need to get and do from Thursday to Sunday.

Evening all.
Frustrating evening waiting in for someone to come round and collect a dog crate I put on fb marketplace.
First she wanted to come round at 3:30 (I was still at work til 4) then she was in traffic, then on her way. Then had to go home, then the boyfriend was on his way, then he couldn't find us (didn't bother to message for directions) then he finally turned up at 7!!
NSDs - 14/20. Couple of NSDs, today was a spend thou. Paid in advance for my iceskating ticket for saturday (boxing group social) and £4 for some dice earrings on fb marketplace (xmas present).
ORGANISE your time. - Boxing straight from work, so bf sorted tea.

I[STRIKE]N case of emergency [/STRIKE]
NOW is always the right time to start. First bit of exercise since sat (what with the weather being bitter, getting my cough back and bfs stupidness)
NO takeaways etc. None injested.
EXTRA income. Managed to wangle 2 extra shifts for dec. Won't effect this months budgets, but OT is difficult to aquire so chalking it up to a Nov win. One of the shifts is on New years day, so double pay too!
WINTER proof your home. Went to have my post-boxing shower while bf cooked tea. No hot water. Cue us both standing looking confused at the boiler controls and pressing various buttons. Heating wouldn't come on either. Twiddled few dials and suddenly the pilot light 'ffwump'ed back into action. Bf reckons it got blown out with the wind.
YOU should cook from scratch. Chicken & veg for tea.
OUTSIDE Bf had to get in early for work, so I had the AM pup walk (I don't do mornings) Duncan found a little stuffed dog toy, and insisted on bringing it home. I don't think it will survive long, but he's not ripped it to pieces yet.
REPORT Here I am.

Hi all:j
Well here I am back finally - quick update as I know I posted last on Nov 12...that evening although I tried to ignore it the pain came back again & by 7am had to go by ambulance to hospital, to add insult to injury it was my birthday..This time though I made sure I was dressed, which made life a bit easier. Lovely ambulance staff & everyone at the hospital was brilliant. Sent for CT scan & doctor told me that they were able to see a kidney stone. 2 options, either an op or drugs to help the stone out. Chose the option 2...so was allowed back via a taxi (eye watering 60 euro). Back to house, sort of made a bit of a meal for us both but couldn't eat much & although DH had brought my presents to open, said that I would wait a bit, went up to bed after taking tablets prescribed. Actually I knew that it was coming back again despite drugs. Ambulance yet again but this time DH followed us by car. Great Irish paramedics Pat & Patrick who sang Happy Birthday to me - despite me being sick all over myself, sorry tmi. Seen by same lovely dr who scheduled me for an op that day unless more urgent cases came in. Put onto side obs ward with lots of drips. Incredibly the stone passed out - just a few minutes before the nurse came to prep me for theatre....No op, no need to stay later than Monday when we were scheduled to come back. I was so thankful. We did have to cram a lot of holiday into the few days we had left - we had had 5 days with 3 trips to hospital - but DH did most of the driving bless him.
Now back in the UK & feeling much better, but that's a birthday I wont forget in a hurry....
Now back in the game!! Hugs to all those feeling down or having worries with their jobs.
NSDs Now 9/15
ORGANISE your time. Not much done today as busy getting back into the swing of things & finally opening some cards & gifts that came whilst we were away.
VALUES Differentiate between needs and wants. No purchases today.
ENJOY yourself. Best friend popped round to visit & brought gifts card & cake, bless her.
MAKE an inventory of the food in your cupboards, fridge and freezer at the start of the month. Will be doing this as DD seems to have lived on takeaways instead of the freezer drawer I filled for her before we left. Need to get this stuff down before Christmas, so we are all under orders that all food is from stores.
BUDGETS should be set before the start of the month.
EXERCISE 4 times a week, 20 minutes a day. Not much today although I did go into garden with the beasts.
RULES Turtle rules can be difficult at first. Following the plan as best I can.
IN case of emergency Add any items you might need Have second lot of hospital meds but did not need to take any after the first one as problem resolved.
NOW is always the right time to start. Upside of being ill is that I lost 5lb, appetite is much reduced too.
NO takeaways, None today
EVERYONE Am DF but always could do with more savings towards experiences or holidays. Have some funds I need to pay back to business account, also for items bought in last spending spree... so need to account for those items by December 31. Pending.
EXTRA Have a ton of stuff that needs to be sold. Back from hols but not dealing with as yet.
WINTER Front door looks good in its new weatherproof coat and should be good for 10 years according to paint tin. Still need to do a little bit of filling & another coat, but pretty pleased with the result. Booked gas engineer to mend fire in dining room next week, also DDs fire.
YOU should cook from scratch Cooked a tasty pasta meal from leftovers brought home with us & stuff going OOD in fridge.
OUTSIDE Briefly
REPORT regularly I'm here, finally
KINDNESS Being kind to myself today
