    Hello!

Hope everyone is OK and thanks Mothernerd for some awesome inspiration.
I've woken up with a cold today but trying not to let it bother me. Next week it will be 4 weeks until I come home to the UK for christmas and I can't wait!

NSD - on 12/20 today. Going to try to get a close to the target as possible!
Exercise - went to find sister's xmas present walking all around the centre trying to find the shop, maybe that counts!
Values - haven't made any progress with spanish, I'm starting a new job this week and struggling to find the time - but I know I can make time for this, so will be back on it next week (just need to plan very carefully)
Budgets- all on track, need to book dentist appointment and use the money that's sitting there for this purpose
Kindness - helped one of my students with a presentation. I love that part of my job the most.

    Enjoy your week!

  • *Sashanut* that sounds extraordinarily painful. Hope you are feeling much better now.

Amazingly I managed an NSD yesterday despite it being payday, although travelling/working from 7:30am to 10pm probably helped. Such a long week, and Youngest is having a difficult time at the moment, his behaviour at school has been appalling and he has therefore lost pretty much all screen privileges for the next two weeks. I am very disappointed in him, he's started to bully some of his friends and is rapidly finding there is zero tolerance for that kind of behaviour. DH dealt with it all really well, and we are having a joint talk with him this evening.

Work is stressful too with me shouldering the blame for a stuck project I have little control
over. Plus a difficult meeting today. Would really like this week to be done with.

I would have jack it all in, but my pension discussions yesterday proved that I need to tie myself to the workplace grind for another 20 years to get a practical income level in retirement :(. At least I like my job (most of the time) and it does give me some scope to have fun (when not picking up after other people).

  • Fingers crossed for you XSpender.

Spendy week here, managing to do bettee than usual but not up to some of you on here. Went for a walk yesterday, pleased I did but took ages to thaw out afterwards.

Finding the rules very different effect on me since I stopped reading and joined in.

Reporting seems easier when I’m doing well but I probably need to more when I’m not doing well.

    Go turtles!

    Hello,

    glad you're better Sashanut.

Did another declutter last night, trying to tackle one little area at a time. Found a few kids items to donate and then went through the shoe cupboard. I got rid of quite a few "might need them some day" shoes, like frumpy black leather ones I once wore to a interview and funeral, uncomfortable high heels, too small ballerinas etc. Most hadn't been worn in over 8 years. Also found some winter boots for the kids in our hand me down stash that'll fit them this year.

Also made two more DIY craft kit bags and prepped dinner for tonight.

The next two nights will be busy getting ready for family dinner on Sat - deep clean the house (think sth died under the couch and behind the telly ), finish DS homework projects, get the guest bedroom ready etc.

No gym for me the next two days as I feel like a rag doll with this cold just now. But got nice home made lunche and snacks with me. Strangely I totally got the munchies whereas usually with a cold my appetite goes away. Small blessings :D

xspender - very sorry to hear about your job.

sashanut - glad the stone came through of it's own accord.

Ran yesterday and was going to cycle this morning but it is icy and foggy here so I will use the spinning bike in the shed.

All beds were changed this morning and the second wash is on with the first in the drier. Need to go and re-make the beds now, dust upstairs and walk the dog.
