    Hi all:j

Many thanks to Mothernerd for running the challenge, it has really helped to be accountable....see you all on December's thread.

Up early to let gas man do his stuff on the fire and we now have a working fire & can have the family party in there next week, it's great! Have not seen the bill yet though....Then had to get ready for the dreaded visit to MIL, have to say we were slightly hysterical on the way there. It wasn't an easy time, but amazingly she had made lunch - ham sandwiches, quiche & tea (also sliced tomato with the middles removed - and sliced raw onion). She commented that she'd not put the tomato & onion in the sandwiches, just in case we didn't like them :rotfl: This is the first time in 30 years she has made a meal. I've never had a cooked dinner there.....so this is progress. And she then gave DD an envelope full of cash when we left, wow.

    NSDs Final total 14/15

ORGANISE your time. Had a simple supper so not much cooking & also managed to put border on to walls in downstairs toilet. Discovered do not have enough border so have to order more, but am pleased with the result.

VALUES Differentiate between needs and wants. Amazingly, no spends today.

ENJOY yourself. Fun time with family on car journey both there & back, also outside to cut some more foliage to make decorations till it started raining.

MAKE an inventory of the food in your cupboards, fridge and freezer at the start of the month. Frog. Lunch was provided by MIL & supper was HM risotto.

BUDGETS should be set before the start of the month. Frog alert!

EXERCISE 4 times a week, 20 minutes a day. Out with beasts for 20 mins.

RULES Turtle rules can be difficult at first. Following the plan as best I can.

IN case of emergency Add any items you might need Need to check car kit.

NOW is always the right time to start. Reasonable today.

    NO takeaways, None today

    EVERYONE
Am DF but always could do with more savings towards experiences or holidays. Have some funds I need to pay back to business account, also for items bought in last spending spree... so need to account for those items by December 31. Pending. Frog.

EXTRA Have a ton of stuff that needs to be sold. Back from hols but not dealing with as yet, after weekend out will do. Frog Alert.

WINTER Did some DIY today, hopefully some each day.

YOU should cook from scratch, supper was all cooked from scratch.

    OUTSIDE Briefly

KINDNESS Tried to be kind to MIL. Not easy.

  • Well I ended the month on 12/15 NSDs, not bad bit could be better. Budgets looking ok, but as I was paid on the 21st and have some Xmas shopping yet to do, I need to keep a sharp eye on things.

Thanks so much to Mothernerd for steering us through November with your words of wisdom, here's to as frugal a December as we can manage!
