Thanks for running November mothernerd.

f0xh0les - I always move December's early pay to another account until the normal payday of 26th so we don't have a long January.

Nothing spent so far today but I am nipping to Asda after tea to get a birthday cake for DD.

My temporary contract has been extended until the end of January but I'm not sure what will happen after that as it is a bit expensive for them keeping going with the agency and there is talk of advertising a temporary role themselves which I can obviously apply for but the agency would have a problem with me working for the company direct with no fee paid for introduction.

A few years ago, our council, in their wisdom, distributed recycling bags, instead of bins. This was usually okay while the bags were full, but when empty it was time to play 'hunt your bag' down the street. They quickly changed to bins.

Our council - in their wisdom - gave us large green sacks about 10 years ago(woven plastic-y stuff - like 'hippo' bags and the bags you get large (a tonne) deliveries of top soil in) for garden waste - again, once the bags were empty they blew away..... We now have large green wheelie bins for garden waste
You'd think they'd have learnt...… about 3 years ago they gave us blue sacks for corrugated cardboard. These have a built in weighted bit, so don't blow away *quite* as easily (but still do with the strong stormy winds we've had over the past 18-24 months) However, you are also not supposed to get the cardboard wet. The bags seal by a Velcro strip on the front edge of the top flap. There is no seal on either side edge of the top flap - which is also where the handles are, which weigh the sides down. The bag therefore gapes open each side.... Fine on a sunny day, not so good in weather like this week's...…. :p

So here it is - the end of November! Phew! Pay day has been and gone and I'm skint again already :p - but it's a self-inflicted skint-ness, as savings are in place and CCs have been paid in full.

Thank you, mothernerd, for this month's challenge :)

Managed NSD today by virtue of being in work :)

Food from stores - have eaten quite a bit of the hanging around random things this month - can only think of 2 items which are just OH's (No one else likes them) and a tub of (ood) custard powder - which I will use to make custard cookies over the hols - creamy and very 'short' and rather yummy :)

Now - still tracking food. Will weigh myself at some point, but waistbands are looser.

Exercise - sat on my b*m at work for much of the day. Wet 'n windy out, so only ventured outside where necessary.

Extra - none today. Am also going to donate most of unsold items on fb00k/ flebay to CS - start 2019 with a clean slate (except for the slab of granite hiding behind a sofa in the family room - not sure that would be much good to the CS, even if I could get it there! :D) However, any sales they (CS) make are gift=aided, so I can use the total in my tax return for the year, so it's financially beneficial to me in a long-winded roundabout way!

See you all in the Tardis! :T

ETA - Extra - just achieved a £3 sale to a friend for a little one on fbook!

Today I am grateful for going swimming with dd (she had an inset day at school), for coming straight home (I'm still full of snot), for fleece blankets on the sofas, for making 7 mice, for soup waiting for me in the fridge, for watching Kirstie's handmade Cmas, for balm tissues, for having so more than enough.

Thank you for november in New York mothernerd. :T:T:T

I'll be waiting for everyone in the tardis tomorrow morning!

NSDs - 16/15 – another NSD yesterday but not today as my hair had a severe chop 😊
ORGANISE your time – doing better yesterday and today so must be getting better
VALUES
ENJOY yourself – had a lovely time getting my hair done and catching up with gossip
MAKE an inventory of the food in your cupboards, fridge and freezer. Plan your meals around what you have. – all done
BUDGETS should be set before the start of the month - Food, travel, socialising, personal. budgets all up to date
EXERCISE 4 times a week, 20 minutes a day. not much today as horrible weather but then I still managed my steps and active minutes
RULES The more rules you can follow, the more you will save/ have for debt reduction. – fingers crossed

IN case of emergency Add any items you might need (torch, shovel for snow, old carpet for traction, extra coat or blanket) to your car boot. stuff is all together for the car but the locks are a bit intermittent so hubby looking at those
Stock up with generic painkillers, cold and flu meds - done
NOW is always the right time to start. having a wine and soda as off shopping Sunday early so I will not be drinking tomorrow night

NO takeaways, coffee shops, vending machines, canteens unless for a special event. none today
EVERYONE should know their debt free date. savings date 2021/2.
WINTER proof your home, if you haven't already done so. curtain poles up and new curtains, but will need to iron them and then get the length sorted as they are too long

YOU should cook from scratch when you can. all meals home cooked
OUTSIDE It may be cold but wrap up warm and make the most of the available light. none horrible weather today
REPORT regularly (daily is best) here
KINDNESS costs nothing

NSDs: 14.5/15! Was on rack for 15/15, until OH suggested we attend Christmas Fair.I partipated in competiotion at fair. I was on top of leaderboard for free months gym membership (which I need), which may offset cost.

Extra Income: £226.27 for November.

Thanks to and all on this forum - I wouldn’t have achieved nearly as much this month without. This lovely and often, amusing group!

Nothing extra achieved today so stuck on 9/10 NSDs but the EF is intact, most of my Christmas shopping has been done, there is money in a fair few of my YNAB pots and some frogs have been swallowed. I would call that a result :)

Thank you for November in New York mothernerd it inspired me to sign up for a turtles challenge again after a long time away and I have really enjoyed it and the support of the other turtles.

See you in whatever dimension we end up in tomorrow ;)

Final NSD today which takes me to 18, and that's 3 more than I'd hoped for. Positives are that all budgets done for December, negatives are that my EF took a major hit with the car repairs. But such is life.

Also managed a gym class this evening, need to step that up a bit through December! Not sure if I'm going to do the challenge but I'll keep up the MSE ways of course! All the best turtles.
• Thanks for a lovely trip Mothernerd xx
