    Hi all:j

Quiet day as friend who usually comes on a Wednesday had to cry off, so afternoon was free. Decided to make roast dinner as DD was coming round & staying as we have to be off early tomorrow. Then she messages to say she's going out for supper, roast dinner on hold till tomorrow..

    NSDs Now 13/15

ORGANISE your time. Not bad organisation as supper is now prepped for tomorrow, well in advance. Need to do some stuff as gas man coming back on Friday to fit new part, then hopefully will have some heating in the dining room in time for family party on the 9th....not that the heating is on in the rest of the house yet..

VALUES Differentiate between needs and wants. No purchases today.

ENJOY yourself. Bit short on this one today but tomorrow off to Renishaw Hall for wreath making workshop with DD, should be fun & a break for her

MAKE an inventory of the food in your cupboards, fridge and freezer at the start of the month. Frog. Lunch was leftover pasta salad & Dh beans on toast, supper ended up being chilli pasta bake left over from the other day.

BUDGETS should be set before the start of the month. Frog alert!

EXERCISE 4 times a week, 20 minutes a day. Short time outside in the garden with the beasts.

RULES Turtle rules can be difficult at first. Following the plan as best I can.

IN case of emergency Add any items you might need Think stocks are pretty good now.

NOW is always the right time to start. OK today. Oh apart from the Bettys Fondant Fancy..

    NO takeaways, None today

EVERYONE Am DF but always could do with more savings towards experiences or holidays. Have some funds I need to pay back to business account, also for items bought in last spending spree... so need to account for those items by December 31. Pending. Frog.

EXTRA Have a ton of stuff that needs to be sold. Back from hols but not dealing with as yet, after weekend out will do. Frog Alert. Got DDs bag packed up & sent today, took a long time with a lot of fiddling about with the packaging. Also returned one item bought recently, usually would keep out of laziness, but didn't suit so packed up & sent.

WINTER Will be on this once this week is over, have wreath making workshop tomorrow & dreaded visit to MIL Friday  DD is actually coming too, under protest.

YOU should cook from scratch, used up stuff previously cooked by me today.

    OUTSIDE Briefly

    REPORT regularly I'm here..

KINDNESS Bought DD her food out as had a tough day at work with bullying.

    Go Turtles !!!!

    Hi everyone

NSD/Budget - today should be 15. I am having a good week so far. No exercise, but no takeaways either. Have some extra work for christmas in the bag (freelance writing/editing) which means I will have savings for the first time pretty much ever. Need to go to the dentist tomorrow which I (and my wallet) are dreading though. This is all budgeted for (all €550 of it!)
I realised I went over budget (fun budget) by €10 last week, but blaming the BF for that as I wouldn't have chosen an expensive takeaway :A

Frogs/values - been listening to Spanish podcasts and speaking spanish at lunchtime. The past 2 days I've got up at 5am - an extra 30min earlier than usual, and the extra time is actually really well spent. Now need to make sure I lesson plan at the weekend (and set a time limit for this) so I can use the mornings for study. Next week it should be possible.

Kindness - cooked for my housemates who were on the way home from a trip to San Sebastian
Have a great Thursday turtles... weekend fast approaching

    Morning all,

Quite a lot going on yesterday, I decided to take a loan out  To pay my car off. The loan is only 12 months & I will save £700 on the total I will repay. my only worry is I *have* to make payments, as my car still had 2 and a half years on it even though I was overpaying to get it cleared in the year, I always had the choice to not over pay on a tight month. Anyway, Ive crunched the numbers & I think it will be fine!:D
I also moved a weekend away by a day to save 200 quid on flight costs :j& then I went in search of YS items & got myself some bread and a bit of fruit. So all in all a good day yesterday but a bit manic.

Christmas lights are popping up all over l, which is fab for me as the boys Love them. I will miss this estate when we finally leave.

greent I am with you for socks. I sometimes wear 2:rotfl:

Lots to be grateful for- my son learning to write his name, a cup of tea in bed, the fact that it is Christmas Tree weekend :A
  • Foxholes: my feet are special snowflakes (long, narrow, high arches and I roll them inwards) so it's hard to get away with cheap shoes or trainers. Plus whenever I think of buying cheap shoes I hear my mother bellowing at me as she had a Thing about never skimping on shoes! Think of your feet! She was convinced that one choice of fashionable shiny shoes from Freeman Hardy & Willis rather than the parental favourite Clarks would cripple us for life :rotfl:

Aimimg for NSD 12/15 today. Out for a work lunch on Friday so this is my last chance this month.

Feeling a bit grumpy and out of sorts, will make s real effort to be kind and constructive today.

Bit of an interesting night. Let's just say bunk beds and children being sick is not a good combination:eek:.

You have my total sympathy - that just gave me a flashback!

  • Go mothernerd - so pleased that you fought your corner with your ds.
I am ill today. It's not surprising I have caught one of the sicky bugs doing the rounds as school seem to hate sending kids home when they're sick. Instead allowing them to wander the school being sick on the floor, in a bin, on a desk etc. I think it was just a matter of time, but on top of the cold I already have I feel close to death so I have phoned in sick today. Still need to drive ds to school as he is now on the mend, but I have a couple of school sick bags in the car in case of emergency.

Also misread 'fun budget' as ' fun badger' - woah!

DH came home just before 8 last night as one of his stitches in his mouth has come out, and like a much loved teddy bear, his (backfilled face) filling is coming out.

Poor thing is terrified, and reacting like a scared animal - so getting him to dentist on the school run and hopefully leaving him there. All terribly primal. But will be sorted asap. He is irrationa; on this . i know it so can't take it personally.

Mothernerd.- if you can convince them to cut the ticking off , ( 5 min job - about 12 staples hokd it on), and leave it in plain sight, the tinkers will take the metal, then you only need to bin the cloth (on hygene grounds!!),

You are a star mothernerd, I would suggest you ask for a bit more respect for Christmas. They are adults, not children, and in any other accomodation, would have to pay a cleaner. If you are going to get shouted at, I might consider raising the rent /housekeeping to include danger pay - for when you explode like Vesuvius and have to redecorate the ceiling .

Forgot to say, yesterday was NSD 13

    Day 29

Six letters, two words, easy to say, harder to explain: Move On

It's not the FUTURE you're afraid of. It's repeating the PAST that makes you anxious.

Dont let C.R.A.P. (Fear of criticism, rejection, abandonment and punishment) stop you from showing up in life as your true self.

Time and health are two precious assets that we don't recognise appreciate until they are depleted

The world hijacks our passion and directs it towards material things. But no-one ever got to the end of their life wishing they had bought more junk.

This is the season she will make beautiful things. Not perfect things but honest things that speak to who she is and who she is called to be

Cling to JOY . Audacious and unbridled joy that looks for thelight in everything, even in your waiting

The death of any loved parent is an incalculable lasting blow . Because no-one else loves you like that again.

Thanks for your encouragement. I was invited to go and look at (admire) the bed. I was also asked politely if I had any sheets that will fit until they can afford to buy some (I did). I did say it would be much better for them - it's a solid wooden frame, very sturdy and wider than the other one. They are both on the heavy side so need the support.

They did go on about how much tidying they I had done and the unbelievable amount of carp that was under the old bed. I just smiled inwardly. Perhaps there are elves coming in in the night and leaving it all there - I think not?

Having put the sheet and pillowcases on the bed, they curled up and were fast asleep in minutes.

Made progress with my own tidying and finally managed to get the duvet cover off for washing. Lots of nodding off holding a cup of something and the clumsiness earlier in the month (that I should have recognised as a sign that I was mentally 'out of balance') didn't help. Towel, bath mat and clothes also thrown down.

Laptop went off at 10. I had an epsom salts bath and read for a while (not long). Have slept really well.

I have plans to travel today but weather is not great for visiting the crematorium so that may wait until another day. Going to mum's late on as I have arranged a food delivery between 7 and 8pm.

Unfortunately foxholes it's the solid foam sort of mattress. In the past I have dismantled several mattresses and disposed of the springs in the can recycling bin (another instance of me doing things the hard way).

    Have a good day turtles.

Oooof it's a windy and wet day out there! I drove DS2 to bus stop for school at 7.30 (it's a 25-30 min walk away) and there are recycling box lids blown everywhere (bin day here) - along with paper and plastic bottles :( I do wish people would use a little common sense and perhaps weight the box lids down (with maybe their food waste caddy..... - seems logical to me...)

We have one tree which loses its leaves much later than all the others in the garden - after the past 2 days it's now got about 50% of them remaining :T Hopefully it will dry up next week and I can get out there and clear them all up - its surprising what a difference that makes to the garden :)

Just about to pay the heating chap from yesterday. I've got to go to a smkt today to collect a click and collect order after school run for DS3, so will also pick up the required (small amount of) shopping whilst there. Plans for today are baking a seedy brown loaf, maybe making a cottage pie, - and sorting out Xmas pressies. Oooh - and vacuuming and mopping downstairs. Other than that and venturing out later for school runs/ swimming lesson for DS3 I am staying firmly indoors! :D
