I have just decided to give up trying to stop playing computer games at the moment and concentrate on self care until the end of the year. I am making myself feel guilty about it. Just have to get through the next few weeks as it is a very difficult time for me emotionally.

    NSD number 6 today.

I have been given the heads up that I am to go into consultation for redundancy from my job this week. It won't be a long process I expect as there are not many of us and I will probably know either way by the end of the month. I'm feeling very sad :(

  • Still plowing through the paperwork shaped elephant for the 4th day running. Did you know that due to poachers killing elephants with horns and not those without, that there are now herds of tuskless elephants. Which means their genetic mutation could be the way the animal survives as a species. Sorry bit of random info, maybe useful in a pub quiz, you never know :rotfl:

NST will aim for 15. 10/15 another one claimed :j

ORGANISE your time. Will try and find a balance between studying, household chores, family time and me time. Balance is tipping towards OU course as have a piece of work that needs to be on Thursday and anything else is waiting to be sorted

VALUES. Ultimate goal is to continue to OP the mortgage but to keep in mind ethical, environmental and family values.Decided that the mortgage needs to go down faster so on a Sunday I will round up the account so it has either a 5 or a 0 on the end e.g £316.12 will become £315:beer:

ENJOY yourself. Try and do something everyday that I enjoy. Not happening today

MAKE an inventory of the food in your cupboards, fridge and freezer at the start of the month. Meal plan and shop from the cupboards, freezers and allotments first before visiting supermarkets.

BUDGETS should be set before the start of the month. Already done will log spends on here and look at, at the end of the month. Will aim to buy something for the food bank every week.

EXERCISE will aim to walk for an hour everyday with the dog.Dog walked but didn't litter pick as did it in the dark.

IN case of emergency Add any items you might need (torch, shovel for snow, old carpet for traction, extra coat or blanket) to your car boot. If you don't belong to a breakdown organisation, make sure you have phone numbers for friends or relatives who might come and help you. Make sure you and your children can be seen if walking or cycling. still need to sort the cars. think snow will have to fall before this gets done, have put old carpet into the car so getting there

NOW is always the right time to start.will aim to have more faith in myself.'I can do maths' needs to become my mantra this week. Although this is my mantra its not working today so FIL is coming to give me some advice:T

NO takeaways, coffee shops, vending machines, canteens unless for a special event. Take your own food and drinks to work, hospital appointments and days out where possible. None today been a good girl

EVERYONE should know their debt free date continuing to pay bank of mum (Nov 2019) and OP the mortgage (another 17 and half years). TT of 36p. Mortgage adviser rang we may have a deal folks (we'll be £50 better off a month) just need to look at the paperwork but that will have to wait till friday along with everything else.

WINTER proof your home, if you haven't already done so. Need to hang new thicker curtains in dining room- still on the list. First priority on the list for when OU goes in on Thursday

YOU should cook from scratch when you can (unless time is short or it costs more to make) and batch cook. Will aim to do this at least 5 days out of 7.2/7 dd1 cooked spinach, pea and feta omelette with pots in a spicy tom sauce
OUTSIDE It may be cold but wrap up warm and make the most of the available light - it will help your immune system and your mental health see exercise

    REPORT i'm here

KINDNESS costs nothing. Everyone you meet is carrying some sort of burden, so try to be kind, especially to yourself.

  • X-Spender - so sorry to hear about your job. I will be keeping everything crossed for you.
Apologies for my absence the past few days. I'm desperately behind with crochet and panicking about getting it all done. On top of that, work has become quite unpleasant and there's no movement on the divorce front, which isn't helping my mood much at all.
I have, however, had another 3 nsd's as I've been so busy doing other stuff, so that's good.
I'm going for the portable rainbows Mothernerd - I really need it at the moment.
Fmess - thinking of you and hoping that you're on the up really soon.
  • NSD - Another 2 NSDs yesterday and today 14/20.

ORGANISE - Not much last couple of days.

ENJOY - Enjoyed feeling a bit better today after having a heavy head cold.

EXERCISE - None yesterday but did go for a walk today.

    NO - No takeaways.

YOU - I made Hot Chilli soup using kidney beans and tomatoes that were both well past their sell by dates. Then had rhubarb crumble from the freezer and carton custard that was just a bit past sell by date.

OUTSIDE - Yes for my walk.

REPORT - I wasn't here yesterday but back to normal today.

Having a lazy evening watching tv xx
Debt free - Mortgage free - Work free ( in that order :) )
