SFD number 12 (maybe 13?!) yesterday. I have stlll got a week and a half off but have made a start on the lesson planning for the shared resources. Think they will take me all week

Feeling tired and grumpy today so may try and have a little treat at some point, a brownie from the local cafe usually perks me up!

Lots of house jobs to do but not feeling like I have the energy to tackle them. I have been going to the gym everyday for weeks, except Sunday, I wonder if my body cannot keep up (only swimming or aqua aerobics but I also walk the dogs several times a day).

  • Enjoy yourself, CCL. The Lakes are one of my favourite places. We go there every December when it's a bit quieter. So relaxing.

Thank you - it's lovely so far. I'm just about to hop into the hot tub before we head off to spend the day around Windermere.
No NSD to report but we have stocked the cottage in preference to eating out.

Just wondering who is doing September?
  • FMess - you sound really worn out. Take care - maybe you need a day off just doing nothing? (although I know how difficult that can be)

    Good Morning lovely Turtles,

F0xh0les cape pj's are awesome, I would almost certainly buy adult ones :D

Aim & update-I have no money left :rotfl: there is about 3 quid in my purse. However I have £250 in savings & my cupboards are busting as I did my big shop yesterday. I am trying to keep hold of my savings as it will come in over the next few months with Christmas, winter shoes etc. Any Spare will go towards the car, but I am not expecting much spare until next year now.
Get Prepared- a few more Xmas gifts arriving today, not a whole lot to buy now. :j Finished for my boys & hub, so that's the main thing.
Utilise- rare day in the house yesterday and I got a load of jobs done that needed doing, sorted through our hat & gloves drawer, the boys clothes and cleaned out our cupboards. Found a load of items I had forgotten about , a few brand new next tops I have obviously bought in the sale & stored away and that will now fit my eldest HURRAH!!
Share- I am running out of ideas
Treat- Bought myself a Yankee candle yesterday. I know, I know, it's not a necessary Item, or three pounds, however, we have spent ALL the extra money on paying off the car & getting a few things we NEEDED for the house. i think if all we have splurged is £14 we're not doing so bad...
not loads else to report... still trying to use things up, & took the opportunity yesterday to make some Butternut Squash soup and apple crumble with things that needed using.

Have a good day all :D

Had to buy a few things today. I am trying to eat healthily (maybe loose some weight before I go on holiday? Yes, again. Even I'm getting fed up with me saying this), so I've been eating a lot of fruit, veg and salad. Aldi had lovely flat peaches, corn and cucumber in their Super Six so I wanted to get some before they change on Thursday plus they seem to have an awful lot of half price tomatoes just now. We are also beginning to get low on rice, lentils and a few other things.
So we got a little walk and I've done a few house type things. Himself is out tomorrow so I have plans for a bit of decluttering whilst he's not here.
He's been playing with his new TIVO toy and at the moment he's torturing me with a recording of Rick Stein in Vienna. All that cake!!!
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.

Today I am grateful for finding a charity that would take the 4 (!) spare duvets from mum's, for clearing more from the house, for a nice visit with mum, for a lovely chat with a neighbour, for working out that the caption 'racing on the firth of clyde' under a photo shows my dad as a boy and his parents racing a boat(!!!) with no hint of a buoyancy aid on any of them.

Today was meant to be a spend day but friend cancelled lunch plans so saved money there. I did shuffle the last of my money around to various savings pots as I get paid on Thursday. Pain and mobility in my ankle is so much better the last 48 hours, I walked around the block (10 minutes) and it held up well. :T Won't be asking any more of it than that though!

Shopping is being delivered tomorrow, going to do loads of batch cooking as I'm home. Other than that not much else to report. The cabin fever has well and truly set in, I feel like a cat about to climb the walls :rotfl:

ccl enjoy the Lake District, it sounds beautiful, and hot tubs are always a welcome treat!
  • Thanks Apple - just didn't want to miss September's thread when it arrives. I'll need all the help I can get once school starts again.
Shattered tonight - who knew that lazing in a hot tub could make you so tired?
