NST 07/2018 - Survive July!

Hi, sorry didn't get around to posting yesterday as real life took over
Yesterday was NSD 23/20 and today I spent £6.04 on cinema (£3.99 on Monday's), £1.40 for parking and 65p for a bottle of water from nearby Sainsbury's. After the first 15 minutes Mamma Mia was brilliant especially the last dance/singing scene. Great seeing all the older actors strutting their stuff.
Revisit Ten years ago I watched Mamma Mia in an open air cinema in Santorini. We were there for a family wedding and I shall never forget watching the film surrounded by the tall trees under a star studded sky. The local Vue cinema just couldn't compete with that :rotfl:
USe I cooked the last of the potatoes and carrots in the actifry for dinner. I added some cooked mince from the freezer to the veg. First time I've done this and it was really tasty.
Vacation can't wait for my holiday next week. Funny how I get really fed up the week before my holiday

Last day of July and last NSD. I've lost count but I think I'm on 11/13 - must do better next month. Except holidays. So maybe take each NSD as a win!
Minor spend yesterday as bought a (cheap) lunch. Checked in with DH according to the New Budget Regime (can you pay X which is due this week? Yep) so I don't need to hassle him for the rest of the week. All bills next month accounted for, spending money a bit tight but doable. August is usually a spendy month so will try and be sensible.
Well done everyone on getting through July, a few wobbles but we're all still standing!0 -

Greent - Thanks for running this month's challenge.
NSD 22/20 Was an NSD today. Did go over what I have spent this month. Some of the spends I am not going to feel guilty about as there was things I wanted to do on my bucket list(nothing else planned on the list until next year). I did resist buying the shampoo bar, as I still have enough of the one I already in for now.
Use - Will definitely be doing this. Still trying to using up things already in. Managed to use up some cream samples today.
Revisit - Am going to set new goals. Made a list of goals and bucket list.
Vacation - Not going on holiday. Planning to have some days out/experiences. Done 2 days out already. Now planning to make a start on my goals/bucket list. Done 3 things off my bucket list.
Inspire - Will try.
Value - Will look into other ways to save for days out etc.
Every - Have done. Grateful for:
Managing to get rid of some of the clutter out the flat.
Some training I attended this morning.
Chilled out afternoon.
Doing self-care today.
Jump - Will definitely do walking as it will help my mental health also. Walked through the park to and from a train station. Also to and from bus stop to recycling centre.
Unless - No need today.
Lose - Went to the recycling centre and recycled what I could. One container was full, so sadly I had to put that bag in the household rubbish area. I used public transport, so did not want to bring it home again.
Yearly - Have made a list as to what needs to done or going out trips/experiences/voluntary work for rest of the year.Frugal Living Challenge 2025 Mortgage free as of 1st August 20130 -
Today was NSD 24/20 and my total spends for the month was just over £48 - very good as my budget was £50. My normal budget for all these spends including food, petrol, pocket money and all other spends except bills is £330 so I have saved £280 to go towards my holiday spending next week.
There's no way I could do this regularly but as a one off it was do-able. There was just one weekend that I got really fed up with being so frugal and was chomping at the bit to go out and spend some money. Glad I didn't now
Next month will be an odd month budget wise as my spending will not be normal so might just give myself NSDs and leave the budget to the following month.
Well done everyone xxDebt free - Mortgage free - Work free ( in that order)

Brilliant achievement, Plumduff! :T
Another NSD here today (only spend was medical on a repeat prescription for me)
Have spent much of the day buried in paperwork (argh!) but have got 3 loads of washing done/ dried - will iron some of it later tonight in front of tvHave also got some tidying/ sorting/ clearing done in smallest 2's rooms (they did it assisted by a bigger child each) and a couple more things are now ready to leave as a result :T DD also sold another 30 books this morning - stuff out and cash in her purse :T
Thankful for a dry day to get washing done/ dried, for getting my head around some figures for various agencies, for leftovers being yummy and using up stuff, for big children helping smaller children, for things leaving!
Thank you for joining me in Surviving July - I look forward to Achieving in August
