E_E hasn't posted on their diary since about the 16th, as so busy.
Any other offers to run August. (No, mothernerd, you only just ran June! Although weird would be interesting...)
Whoever runs August, pls sign me up. We're going away tomorrow at stupid-o'clock for a week and are supposed to have internet. But you never know...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Not a NSD here - went to cinema - the 6 of us plus DS1's GF. Paid out for tickets (cheap @ £6.70 each but it all adds up!) plus parking. Took snacks and drinks from home (phew!) Really enjoyed the film, though - so all is good
Dinner is easy pasta + garlic bread for 6 of us (DS2 hates pasta so will be having something else + garlic bread). Will be making the pasta sauce to use up some of the store of tinned tomatoes (also have loads of HG tomatoes frozen, but am saving those for a different dish) although I'm personally planning hm pesto with mine (needs using up, and I'm the only one who really likes pesto - will be freezing some, as there's still loads!) plus the addition of a spoonful of cream (makes it seem way more indulgent and the cream also needs using up) and lots of garlic-y mushrooms (again, I'm the only one who really likes mushrooms.....)
This coming week I need to get me a swimming costume of some description (my bikini is likely to be indecent on slides at CP!) That should be it for pre-holiday spending, thoughI plan on focusing most of our efforts on DS2 and DS3's bedrooms - will also rope DD and DS1 in to help. Will hopefully find some items for releasing, with their agreement. I also have a few things to list on fb00k selling pages to hopefully get rid of some more things, and another bag is building up nicely for the CS. I have 4 things to list on flebay, but will wait until after Cparcs for those.
Off to see our accountant tomorrow to sign off the business accounts and also OH and my self assessment returns. This means I can then update Student Finance for DD - and also Tax Cr if necessary - and am then hopefully in order with all relevant financial things.
Has been raining most of the day (quite heavily) and night here - much needed by the garden. Not really affected us as we always planned on going to the cinema. I haven't done any washing yesterday/today, though - am refusing to use the heated airer unless I have to! People have enough clothes for a couple more days, when hopefully the better weather will have returned :)I've just upped my energy ddr from Sept by £20/ mth - not because of usage, but because they didn't take a payment the first month (just a timing thing) so I'll be behind come annual review otherwise- and I've no desire to increase it again!
Grateful for: family time, easy food, using things up, not having to get up to an alarm tomorrow morning(and the rain for the garden and filling the water butts)

Kerry woman - you must've got soaked on the walk!
Today I am grateful for getting a workout done before my brain could wake up and oppose the idea, for the much-needed rain, for a good umbrella, for a good time at kids klub, for getting our packing done, for the taxi driver neighbour popping by to confirm tomorrow's ride, for big sis phoning, for seeing the last stage of the Tour.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
I can do August - July was a bit of a write off for me in terms of money and posting so at least if I'm running the thread, it gives me the incentive to stick to it :rotfl:Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86
Mortgage overpayment savings - £3.33/£50

I'm not sure if when plumduff said she was up for August's challenge she hasn't just take part or run it? If not I can do it but I am away twice! But only for weekends ! & I've never done one before so it might be rubbish lol0
