    Sorry Daisy

In order to take advantage of a BT offer (even a buying from their website directly) requires you first complete the PhD course "Buying BT Broadband and Fibre"

Also check the TCB site for customers complaining about not being paid out

Would you recommend going with plusnet instead then? Offer ends tomorrow...

I've always found Plusnet to be good and prefer their deals as they're a lot simpler. There'll be some who've had problems, but looking at the latest MSE poll, it ties in with my experience which has been good.

No. Tied myself in knots yesterday trying to sort before Plusnet offer ended. Unhelpful comms from BT so decided to leave it and do BT today and now it looks like their best offer has ended too...

    Anyone got any ideas?!

Your line rental has ended But has your broadband contract ended .

The BT offer on standard broadband has some hours to go .

I no exactly how you feel people say go through cashback sites and pay in full for line rental not sure if this is the best way??

I'm not sure how my haggling power will be as I don't have a phone line in the house
  • im looking at talk talk fibre going through top cash back earning £100 odd pound what you guys think?
  • Well I am considering myself a mini expert in the world of Broadband deals January 2016....been looking in to to switching since the start of Jan but the deals are constantly changing.

As per the MSE advice on broadband deals, which never fails...go with the deal which is best without considering quidco or TCB. There is absolutely no guarantee, and now little evidence, that you will ever see this cashback! And haggle for price matches (politely).

I rang and spoke to Broadband choices who gave some OK advice but not sure how impartial they are as they also sell packages.

For those of you looking to switch the very, very concerning trend I have noticed (also stated by DavidP24) is that cashback is just not being paid out to a lot of customers. See TCB or Quidco reviews for a depressing read. BT, Sky, Plusnet and TalkTalk all in the same boat of declining cashback after months of waiting, possibly other companies also doing the same.

I managed to haggle my Plusnet contract to match an SSE offer at the time (which no longer exists).

I have a spreadsheet which I use every year for price comparisons...feel free to PM me if you're interested in tips.

Quick question, grateful for advice on this one...what are your experiences of having paid 12 months line rental upfront but being in an 18 month contract (do you have to pay full price line rental for the remaining 6 months?)

    Thanks!
