Sorry if this needed a new thread.
Just used MSE link to sign up with Plusnet and get the £75 cashback. Made sure to disable cookie and ad blocking and the linked to Plusnet package page did show the +£75 cashback circled (so took screen shot).
Everything went fine except the cashback gets no mention anywhere in the order details or in my confirmation or even the T&Cs, unless I missed it. Is this common?
I know it takes 60 days to arrive by cheque and you can email MSE if a problem, but I read of people waiting and being told they didn't "qualify", so I raised a query to Plusnet's team to be clear from the outset, but no reply yet. Would cancel on principle within 14 days if nothing is clarified that they even have the cashback code from MSE ( as I read in their community threads happens) as I can't see why it could not be clarified. Happy to wait after that.
Just wondering what others experienced at Plusnet sign up about this cashback?:)0 -
Thanks. Being paranoid I read then copied and downloaded the "The longer legal bit…" T&Cs that needed ticking as read during signup.
They refer to ....
"So to sum up: the Standard Terms (for everyone) + Service Terms (for each service you're taking) + Package Terms (if you take more than one service) + Offer Terms (where applicable) + Price Guide = your very own Terms & Conditions from Plusnet."
So the "offer terms" must be the advertising blurb only? You don't get a bespoke paragraph that mentions any cashback?
From the community sticky on cashbacks:-
"Your Plusnet account needs to be active and the service up and running.
Tracking can take a few weeks. If your order hasn't tracked, please allow at least a fortnight before contacting the cashback provider.
Whilst in most cases it's a lot quicker, it can take up to 60 days from the date of tracking before your cash is paid to you. Please allow at least 30 days before you approach either us or the cashback provider."
So pretty much you won't learn you might have a problem until after the 14 day deadline when you can cancel? Seems rum way to do things to this cynical old git. Technology ought to be able to see the tracking code (must be one in the linking code) and add a clause into the order terms if only saying "cashback pending confirmation".
But I guess everybody new is offered cashback, innit.0 -
I changed over to the BT deal this weekend but I went through quidco and got £150 cash back plus the £100 on the prepaid card0

I moved to the UK recently and when I moved into my flat, my letting agent told me they had a deal with Virgin Media. Not knowing any other supplier, I thought it was the way to go.
Me and my flatmate took out a 1 year contract at 40pounds a month for broadband, tv and landline. Is that a lot? I don't realise. They advertise packages for 19pounds but then force you to take a landline, I just don't get it.
And 6 months later I'm just appalled by their terrible service. My wifi has been working half the time, I've spent countless hours on the phone with customer service, I've had to take days off to be home for technicians who came and never fixed a thing.
I've been so annoyed with them I've decided to stop caring and pay the full price instead of chasing after discounts because it was taking all of my energy.
But the prices keep going UP! and they charge 5 pounds if you dont pay by direct debit (of course they dont tell you that).
So now we pay 45pounds monthly.. for a broadband that works half the time.
Cant get out of the contract without paying a big ETF0 -

Sorry to hear about your problems. Yes, that sounds expensive. I assume that is for high speed fibre optic cable, which is nice to have but unessential for most people. There are better deals here:

You need to determine the precise amount of early termination fees and compare them with how much you could save by switching now. It looks like you could save at least £20 per month, so probably worth switching? If you have a BT line then you could consider copper-wire broadband, which is slower, but adequate for most purposes, and cheaper.
One tactic you could use is to ring and ask for the retentions department, then tell them you are thinking of switching to BT (see Best buys/Fibre-optic broadband in link: equivalent to £24.69/mth). They may well offer you a better deal on the spot, and don't forget to mention all your service problems too. Good luck and let us know how you get on.0 -
Re: latest MSE-blagged Sky broadband deal.
Can the £100 bill credit be used to pay the monthly line rental or is it only for other billed charges eg call charges? Thanks0 -
Anyone have any links for BT fibre cashback? I ordered on 1st Feb, there was definitely a £125 Mastercard and £30 separately, but https://www.vouchers.bt.com/offer/cashback claims there was no offer on then..?0

I got Martin's Money Tips newsletter on the 24 Feb 2016 and in the Top Tips saw the offer for BT fibre b'band & line £371/yr + £100 Mastercard + £75 cashback. I signed up on the 25 Feb, before the deal expired.
The deal stated "You need to CLAIM a £100 prepaid Mastercard. After installation fill in this online claim form and it's sent within 30 days."
When I click the link and sign in as suggested, and go to make a claim, it only has £75 BT Reward Card as an option, which is £25 less than stated on the deal (and the BT sign up page) stated.
Any one else had this issue? How do I get the £100 card as advertised? Really annoyed I didn't screen grab the sign up page.0 -

When I signed up for this they sent a Text message to my landline saying the order had been cancelled. When I phoned back to ask why they didn't know but confirmed it was indeed cancelled and offered me the same product at full price.
I politely declined, looks like I had a lucky escape.
Reading other threads you should be able to get through to them on affiliates@bt.com

I took up the same MSE offer and after installation log in and find
I'm not eligible to claim! Raised an enquiry with BT. MSE/Martin, I won't be pleased if this is not given!0
