Anyone come across any good deals for unlimited fibre and anytime calls, say under £30 a month, that doesn't involve cash back/vouchers? The BT deal looks good, but frankly I'd rather they just gave the discount up front rather than having to relying on cashback that you may not actually get.

I'd very much like to switch from TalkTalk, and I have been holding off from signing up for another 18 month contract with TalkTalk as long as I can to see if there were any better deals, but so far nothing really.

It's unlikely that you'll find anything to match the cashback/voucher deals. BT is a pretty awful company to deal with if you have problems, but it does often have unbeatable deals if you take the vouchers and cashback into account - and to be fair, both are pretty reliably paid out, provided you take the usual precautions (particularly cookies) with TCB or Quidco.

I realise that I'm unlikely to find anything to match the cashback deals, but frankly I'm at the point I'd settle for any provider offering a better deal than TalkTalk has offered me, which is about £30 a month over 18 months for fibre and anytime calls, yet unfortunately without cashback offers there is no company that can even beat that price, which I don't think is very competitive to be honest.

I would go for plusnet - the 18 months cost would be

Landline
16.99 x 18
Fibre
5 x 6
14.99 x 12
Anytime calls
6 x 18
Total = 623.70 = 34.65 per month - a little over £30 I know but not too much.

There is currently £70 cashback from Quidco too which equates to £3.89 per month if it gets paid, but your maximum cost would be £34.65 (assuming no router or other extras).

I've found them good and they have price matched others at renewal or when you're eligible to leave due to a price increase.

Congrats, was going to switch parents over to this deal, so missed the boat. However, as they don't use Broadband service or TV, never mind fibre broadband, seemed a little over the top - although for regular users it really was a good deal in my opinion.

Will just get folks regular 17mb BB and anytime calls on a decent package of about 13.00PM - still much cheaper than Plusnet who's Value Line Rental ain't so much great value anymore, which is the same as Talk Talk.

Have got until early February to change over, so perhaps BT and the cashbacks will have another decent deal, that or I switch if can get all what parents need for approx £13 per month - but that was a good deal and one I'd have got myself if UK-based.

You guys don't know how lucky you are in the UK compared to North America and Asia!!!!!!

I felt much the same way about Plusnet, having read the reviews - until I actually tried them.

It started well enough, but as soon as I had problems (overcharging) I discovered just how appalling their customer service is. It takes forever to get anything done, and they apologised for cost-saving cutbacks enforced by BT, who own them.

In reality their customer service is no better than BT's, and that's abysmal. They're very much living on past reputation, which was very good.

I switched to BT in the end for a deal in which BT actually paid me to be a customer. Plusnet wouldn't match it, but I didn't really expect them to!

You need to watch the upload speed too with Plusnet. Their standard fibre deals have a maximum speed of 1.9mbps. If you want a decent upload speed you'll need to opt for the much more expensive Unlimited Fibre Extra.

Hi all, looking for some advice please! Currently with EE for broadband and had paid line rental up front but this has now ended so I'm looking to switch. No tv or inclusive calls needed and just normal broadband. Plusnet looks good but then I went on quidco and confused myself then came on here and saw stuff about BT! In central London so should have the pick of most providers except SSE. Any advice greatly received! Thanks.

I've just cancelled my sky tv - they never contacted me about a deal until they switched the service off - half price - but no longer want the tv anyway.

My broadband is due to finish with them in february and I'm looking to go for Fibre.

Virgin aren't in my area and I'm looking at BT.

My head is a bit battered after spending all afternoon going through the and wondered if any one could confirm / shed some light on which is the best option

Option 1 is going through MSE link for 38mbs unlimited with weekend febre, weekend calls and adding evening calls. £15.70
Paying for the line rental upfront
£125 mastercard and £40 boots card

or

going through Topcash back and getting upto £126 cashback
£125 mastercard
Line rental upfront
evening & weekend calls & fibre would be £18.70
but small print in topcash back says that 'The BT free add-on such as Unlimited Weekend Calls, TV Starter or TV Entertainment Starter do not receive cashback.'

does this mean I wouldn't get cash back on this deal?

Which is better, my brain is all deal compared out?
