Give it a few weeks, current deals aren't the best on TCB/Quidco either. I'm sure some christmas deals will start popping up soon.0

I think there were good deals around Black Friday last year so may be worth waiting for that.0

For the love of god, DON'T be tempted to sign up with Plusnet.
I've only been with them two days (not been able to use the service at all though due to their incompetence) and would rather have had my legs sawn of with a rusty blade. :mad:0 -
You could switch to a short term contract which might put you in a better position with regard to having all the choices available including the one you are currently with.
The Sky deals that were available recently were not available to me as they took over my Be* broadband connection and they are charging me £15 a month for a slow connection which is far too much.
I came across Freeola which has a very short contract of 30 days and they charge £15.95/month for unlimited broadband which seems pretty good. The support is meant to be UK based so I am thinking about switching to them to get the Sky broadband tag off my line.
Has anyone heard about them? I will check them out on thinkbroadband forum I think.0 -
HELP. So I am with virgin and had a great price last year. £14 for 50Meg BB only.
Price offer has ended and so I called them and the best they can offer is same speed but for £19.50 a month.
Its still cheaper, as a new customer would pay £30 or there abouts.
Is this the best price im gonna get? Looked on price comparison sitwes for BB and by the time you include line rental (needed unless its virgin) its way over £200 -
Since we are being pedantic and dissecting things, I would like to point out that line speeds are usually given in Mb (per second), and that there is no such thing as an mb.
I wonder if anybody really gets that 17 Mb rate on ADSL, or whether the "up to" is a general lie across the industry; my ADSL rate is 3-5 Mb and it's unreliable.0 -
The big problem is the headline prices do not reflect the whole picture. SSE charge a reasonable £5 for anytime calls but £3.50 for caller display. Plusnet are £6 for the calls but only 99p for caller display.
Anyone got a good renewal from Plusnet ?0 -

Of course they do, there are however many variables. Distance from exchange, activity on exchange (network congestion) etc.0 -

They matched the SSE price for me excluding caller display and I then pay the 99p on top.0 -
No one has yet commented on the fact that BT charge £31 to leave their broadband and any line rental paid annually is not refunded0
