HELP. So I am with virgin and had a great price last year. £14 for 50Meg BB only.
Think about if you really need such high speeds? You might be paying for something you don't need and could get a lower speed cheaper that will still be more than adequate.
What is it you use the internet for that requires 50meg?0 -

EE seem very persistent having called me 5 times in 3 days in an attempt to get me to renew my contract which expires in a months time. Now they are even sending me automated text messagesGreat news over the last 12 months you have saved £146.40 by taking line rental saver with your introductory offer to EE Home Broadband. To continue saving renew your current offer by calling 0800******** now.
If you do not renew your offer your subscription charges will appear as £41.45 on your next bill.
I'll give it a few weeks (prior to the next invoice) before deciding to stay or jump ship0 -
Well, the BT deal on Quidco now shows at up to £50 Sainsburys vouchers, so not so great.
However, the other day I was having real connectivity problems, with browser windows failing to load and so-on; I realised my Mac had connected to my EE BB rather than my Virgin one; I really do need to ditch EE.0 -
Hi,
The best deals on MSE broadband page seem to totally ignore any cashback you can get from topcashback or quidco - these can add substantial savings. I suspect it's down to not making much money for MSE. (Please spare me the usual 'you may not get your casback' etc - I've been using them for many years and have saved thousands of pounds in cashback.). MSE should at least give people the choice between c/b and no c/b.
The best deals I've found so far:
Standard Broadband
BT:
contract: 12months
Line rental: upfront = £194.28 (or £17.99p/m)
Broadband = £7.50p/m *12 = £90 per/year
Quidco+Sainsburys = £150+25=£175
Annual Cost: = £284.24 - £175 = £109.28 per year or £9.11 per month. ( or £10.91 line rental paid monthly)
Fibre Infinity 1 Unlimited 38Mb: 12 month contract
Line rental: upfront = £194.28 (or £17.99p/m)
Broadband = £12.50p/m * 12 = £150
Quidco+Sainsburys = £150+50=£200
Annual Cost: = £383.28 + £39(fee) - £200 = £183.28 per year or £15.27 per month. (or £17.07 line rental paid monthly)
How does this deal sound, any better deals anyone come across?0 -

I think the Plusnet deal on MSE is better at just £2 more over the year
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/phones/cheap-broadband#plusnetbb
The cashback from Plusnet is safer than quidco etc and their (UK) customer service is much better rated too (even though they're owned by BT).0 -
Totally agree!
I'm currently out of contract with Virgin, have tried the wheeling and dealing with them, but their final offer is still way off the mark in relation to the deals that are out there, so I've cancelled.
Saw the the Quidco offer for BT Fibre 38mb, its coming up £140 cashback and the £50 Sainsburys gift card.
I've done the maths, with 'Anytime' calls, it comes in at approx £287 and only a 12mth contract too, a lot cheaper than the SSE offer on the MSE broadband page.
Question, never used cashback websites before, are they reliable? and do you think I should stick around and wait for any black friday deals, your oppinion would be appreciated

cashback websites are normally reliable , Quidco is one of the biggest and I've had almost £500 off them over the yearsEx forum ambassador

Totally reliable, stick with the big names, quidco and/or topcashback.
I've had just under £3,000 cashback over the years. I've had the odd one now and gain not track, but you can lodge a ticket and they'll get it sorted. Not lost anything yet. I've found it's more down to the retailers, so people like AA and RAC are the one's I've had issues with in the past. But, Telco's, mobiles, banks etc pay without problem. Hope that helps.0 -
Yea thats very helpfull, cheers, I'll give it ago
