3 mobile broadband

My recent experience with 3s mobile broadband in London and the South Coast is awful. The product is only useful for sending the odd email. Speeds are not much better than old dial up.
The store assistant said averagely I would expect approx 1 - 1.5 mbs download and astonishingly the same upload, which was clearly wrong, it's supposed to be up to 380kbs for upload, as a test I sent a 1MB file, it took just over 8 minutes. This is not broadband do not use it unless you want to send a small two word email. I cannot believe how dishonest these people are and how the poor staff are forced to miss sell.

by no means is it as good as home broadband,the speed does seem to vary from time to time. but if you really need internet while on the go this seems a good deal.
As the same package from 3 themselves was £149.99 when i last looked ,
the dongle on its own was £49.99.

so with 12gb already installed i dont think its to bad , it does what i want it to , but please check your coverage first on the 3 site.

We took this out for when we travel round the country from time to time and to be honest on a whole its great some places its a bit slow but usually it connect at a good spead.

I use 3 in Manchester, get great reception (7-8 bars) but speeds are awful. Deffo not broadband. 220kbs download and 110kbs upload. Seems like everyone has the same problem?? Anybody getting decent speeds?? I can have 1 or 2 bars and still get the same/lower speed. Something not quite right. I dont keep getting disconnected though even on 1 bar like some do. I use the E169.

on 1mb broadbnad you should download 1mb in about 10 to 20 seconds so that is pretty bad.

what does
www.speedtest.net say your actual speed is?

I have 3 more months of contract (£25.month) and it's unusable. It should be not fit for purpose!!!
tried the speed test: I have about 180kbs download and 50 upload ! And it's 2 o'clock at night, not peak time. At peak time I get the: this page cannot be displayed ... and can't use it for nothing (not email or reading the forum)

I tried calling them to complain a couple a times, was kept on the phone 30-40 minutes (paying for it) everytime with tech support in India (clear you cookies, clear your browser history.... like this is supose to make their poor service go better)

I cannot cancel or nothing, it's the worst money I ever spent!

I have a contract with 3 mobile broadband and it's the worst money I ever spent. I have very good coverage... but have very slow speed wich make it unusable even to open email or the forum. Very bad reviews evrywhere... so try to stay away from 3!!!

Another mug who signed up for 18 months of 3 mobile broadband. Their service is painfully slow at the best of times and unusable at peak times.

At 4am in the morning it works fine so its obvious that 3 cannot support the amount of customers it has.

Will be complaining and hopefully cancelling the contract soon.
