Can I just ask, it says it comes with a SIM card, is that for the dongle or is it just to try and convert you to their mobile network? I'm happy with O2.
Thanks0 -
It's for the dongle.

The 5gb gives around/on average 3 hours per day.
Lynsey
By 3 hours, do you mean 3 hours of full webpages or 3 hours after you've toned your laptop down to select text only based webpages.
OH said I'll need to stop the laptop updating automatically and changed to text based webpages and a whole load of other speak were I to get a decent amount of time from the 5GB.
He said my MSE friends will know what he means...any friends out there?!Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?

3 hours was just a quoted average, it depends on how much you download.
They give an example of around 100 hours surfing per month.
Less downloading = more usage.
My son uses BBC iplayer which uses a bit.
The 15gb should give more than enough for what you need, although it's double the price.

Just got my 3 Dongle this morning have signed up for £5 a month just to bring in my work emails when out and about.A Warning - my area shows Turbo strength, i've only managed to get 3 bars lit yet here - although not much problem getting connected, easy set up and was getting emails in 3 minutes of opening box containing stick modem.
My guess is its a good standy but will never beat genuine fast broadband, will do me in emergencies when out and about for work for a fiver a month.Better to light a candle than to curse the darkness. :beer:0 -
Hi all,
I signed up for 3's mobile broadband offer (£7.50 a month) on Wednesday night and got an email with my order confirmation number and saying that my delivery date would be Friday 26th September (today) and confirming my address.
I've been waiting at home today for it to arrive but nothing has turned up yet. I noticed that the email also says:
Thank you for choosing 3. We confirm that we have now received your order, as detailed below. We’ll start to process it and get in touch again shortly by email.
Does this mean that they will email me once it ships, i.e. it hasn't yet shipped? Do they actually email you once it is sent, or does it just turn up? I don't want to hang around at home if it's not going to arrive today, and I don't want to call their 0870 number (!) to enquire. There's no way of checking online.
I know some people on here have ordered the dongle and received it, could you let me know if they notified when it was shipped or if it just turned up?
TIA0
