    hi

im thinking of getting the 3 dongle.

looking at the responces though, it doesnt seem really positive.

although, at the moment, they have an offer that if ur a existing 3 customer, u can get broadband for half price (eg 1gb=£5, 3gb=£7.50) so im thinking that for that price it wont be bad

I've just noticed that ....and £37.50 if you go through quidco, making it a little over £50 for the first year (3gb). Might be worth a punt.
  • I just received 3 mobile broadband on Saturday and the speed is terrible even though I was told i was in the 3 turbo network where I live and it also shows my area as having turbo coverage when I had checked on the website. The speed i get is about 40kbps if I'm lucky so pages take about 5 minutes to load.

Is there anyway I can get out of this contract and cancel the broadband as it i will never use it as its pointless? I am not sure if there is anything legal that says I can return goods within a specified time as I only got it on Saturday and it obviously doesn't do what I was lead to believe it would.

    Any help is much appreciated

why dont u call customer service or check their wesite with full info cheers
  • I thought I'd see what my rights are and if anyone knew of any helpful ways to get out of the contract before i call them as most time customer services are utterly useless and they don't tend to advertise ways of getting out of their contracts on the websites too freely

I think you only have 3 days to cancel. If it shows you have coverage then your spped shouldnt be so slow. You would need to call customer services and maybe you could try it manually to get a higher speed.
I got mobile broadband with orange at first after they told me my coverage was good. It was so slow and orange doesnt have an option to cancel but I managed to cancel it after lots of calls and eventually having confirmed that I was misold the product as there was no coverage even though it stated that I had coverage.
I am still waiting for a refund. Maybe you could pop in to a 3 shop and that way it would save you the cost of all the calls you have to make.
I now have 3 mobile and its not too bad. Its slow but not as slow as orange. I cant cancel now as I have had my dongle for 5 days now and its fine.
Good luck and hope you get it sorted.

I've just got my dongle and it seems to work fine - I only saw this thread after I had placed an order (I am a 3 mobile customer so am getting the 3Gig for £7.5 per month) so was a bit worried - but so far so good :-)

Call Three, only they can activate the connection.
